Behind the Scenes of “White and Nerdy”
My original post on this is here.
Things I thought were interesting include:
• The performers worked to a slowed-down version of the song, which gives the video a more “cartoony” feel when played back in sync with the song at normal speed. I imagine the song itself was probably also recorded at a slower tempo and then sped up to its “performance” speed.
• The dancer performing behind Al is Donny Osmond. Apparently the original video was shot in HD, but I’ve only ever seen it in Ultra Low-Def YouTube-O-Vision™, so I’m not surprised this fact escaped me.
