Druyan wants it both ways. I really respected and appreciated Carl Sagan; he was great at what he did. As I understand it, Dr. Sagan was an avowed atheist; he did not believe that a god of any kind exists. Now. Anne Druyan wants to temper that view by bringing in "spirituality" and the "sacred." Why not just tell it like it is and not try to apologize for anything? How can something be “sacred” and not be, by definition” of God? Druyan wants it both ways. I love how she carefully responds to such questions and how respectful she is, even if she disagrees.
