Free Association...it is terrific fun indeed. My children and I often take turns hopping on and off of each other's "thought trains". Our special label for free association and the paths on which it takes us. I can not tell you how often this seemingly pointless exercise opens up my mind to other points of view on just about everything. Not to mention the in-depth look into the minds of my children.
