I am familiar with the text book definition of 'normal', but I am also aware of the dynamic that social and religious circles present with regard to human behavior. Many people do not present their true selves in either situation. Truthfully, when I read through the exchanges posted above I was struck by the thought that this person was using the same tactic my children will if they want to discuss something with me that they don't want to admit involves them personally. As in, "Mom, I have this friend that (insert situation). What do you think about that?" I could be wrong here, but then again.... Perhaps, if Chocomel doesn’t mind, I could rephrase the original question. It might be better to ask, what exactly is ‘normal’? It seems to me that would have been the perfect opportunity to show others “THE TRUTH”. Also, it would have been interesting to know what parts of the Old Testament this particular person’s version Islam denies. What exactly is a “normal Muslim”? Now that was strange!
