TheTruthCommitee,

Jimmyhags was clearly sincere and did have some good things to say, but his unrelenting combativeness and long-winded screeds were detracting from the civilized atmosphere here. If you've read the whole thread, you'll know he got a warning for preachiness quite some time ago, and again just recently. Unfortunately, he was unable to rein it in, and his last comments were rather trollish.

I have read the Jimmy posts and he doesn't seem angry. It seems to me he's pretty concerned with what this Weinland fellow may be leading his church into.

As I look at the past posts, the things Mr. Jimmy has said doesn't compare to some of the things that are obvious attacks on other posters. And Jimmy seems to be in pretty good company in his beliefs that Mr. Weinland is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I think about 20 or 30 times, he referred to him as a carbon copy of Herbert W. Armstrong. I completely agree. Ronald Weinland has written two books that are in my opinion, nothing more than a delusional man's warped fantasy about being someone the world may come to know on a level of celebrity.

As stated by our friend, or ex-friend of some here, Jimmyhags, Herbert Armstrong actually did the exact same thing. He was a very talented public speaker and had a flare for getting people--especially those who were of little or no faith in any spirituality-- not only listen to him, but also to give him money.

The Old Testament laws, such as found in Leviticus, were literally rammed down the throats of members of the Worldwide Church of God for as long as I can remember. And I also agree with a few here that Armstrong was a cult leader. There was no doubt about that. Now this Weinland fellow seems to be clawing, gnawing, champing and scraping up as many followers as he can in order to gain the same attention as Herbert did.

Well, I hate burst anyone's bubble here, but if you do believe in what Ronald has to say in his two books and in his sermons, then you are putting your eggs in a basket has no bottom.

The Worldwide Church of God's entire message through the 1980s and into the 1990s consisted of a bottomless pit of bogus information. I remember reading The US and Britian in Prophecy and shortly afterwards, I was directed (by God in my opinion) to research it to find out if this can possibly be true. It didn't take me long to find out that studies havd been done including DNA research, archeological studies and the like that completely debunked the entire book. God has a way of revealing the truth, just like Satan has a way of masking it.

I think somone earlier while screaming at Mr. Jimmy said that it was God's will that evil exists and evil things happen in the world.

Was it God's will that a shooter in Illinois shot and killed five people and himself last week? Was it God's will that Ted Bundy killed dozens of women in the 70s? Was it God's will that 9/11 happened? No. it certainly was not God's will. Just like it would not be God's will if I walked across the street. pulled out a knife and stabbed my neighbor in the chest. Evil things happen based on the choices of those who do them. God certainly knows what the outcome would be if I killed my neighbor. But it's will that I love my neighbor.

Friends, it's same as asking "Could God create a rock that He couldn't move?" The answer to that is, "No, he couldn't." It's not logical. God is the creator of all things. Creators can't create things bigger and superior to themselves. Could you take a pencil and write down a sentence that you, yourself couldn't read? No?

Did God create evil? We would have to say, yes he did. But our Scriptures tell us that evil acts are not any part of God's will. And when Jesus Christ does return to this earth, we will all see where evil fits into that will.

So, in closing, I would not be too hard on Mr. Jimmy or anyone else in here. He's sounds like a passionate person who actually has some interesting things to say.

And to those who are worried about whether Mr. Ronald Weinland's predictions will come true, don't worry. Everything he teaches does not line up with anything in the Bible, or anything that already has been proven false.

Mr. IronWolf: this is a nifty little blog you've got.

Ok - did anyone else listen to today's sermon? I recorded it and have him on tape as saying, "Finally, April the 17th, of this year, the first Trumpet blows."
the first trumpet: Rev. 8:7 - The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
THAT is pretty literally saying, "nukes in April".
Not to mention that the Pope (the day after he turns 81) will more fully come under the influence of satan to play an important role while in the Washington D.C. area. (may be slight misquote).
If that actually happens, I think anyone who's doubted Ron will be shitting bricks (and a few bloggers I know will have to eat their computers).
Talk about putting it all on the table.

Well here are some interesting questions.
If a man does not have a soul (as claimed by RW) then WHO does God talk to???? And oh oh...here comes an uncomfortable question.
If for instance an alien would shape shift into a human with brains and internal organs and all then how would God be able to DISTINGUISH if that human is really a human and not an alien in disguise? If indeed as described by RW God talks only to you which is made by everything that is you...you. So simple...so retarded reasoning here by him...
His wonderfully arrogant and self conceited "NO's" to assorted questions dealing with faith reveals his unlimited knowledge and wast wisdom in revealing the true mystery's of God's identity and purpose. HA....ha.
If God deals with his creation this way (double wow) then we would be just some meat n' bones puppets for God or should I say Alien overlord.
In fact this reasoning would confirm my suspicion that this God is in fact an Alien God ("Father") that which RW believes in. (such as in popular movies like Independence Day or War of the Worlds)
You can take your Alien god and shove it where the sun don't shine.

I used to look forward to new posts on this blog on my e-mail, but it's almost getting annoying!

Quite honestly, both sides for and against RW provide some good points that are backed up by the bible and history as we know it - and some not so good points.

I have read both books by RW (with an open mind) since I had never heard of WCG OR Ronald Weinland at the time. Some of what he said did make sense, but other stuff went completely against what I believe and what I read in the Bible; but Ironwolf is right - the Bible can be interpreted very different ways, and some or RW's interpretations are VERY loose in my opinion.

I have since decided that RW's teachings are not something that my heart can follow right now, but I keep a wary eye on the calendar and what I have read. I believe eventually the truth will be revealed to us in no uncertain terms, whatever that may be - and it's never too late for someone who comes to our Lord in true belief, humility and repentance.

For now at least, RW's books have opened my eyes to the shortcoming in my own life, and the need to study my bible more, as well as the need to live life to it's fullest, trying to do so within moral boundries. I could die tomorrow or be one of those cursed/blessed to see the beginning of the end - and it's better to be ready than not.

Here's to a hopefully happy 2009.

Jimmyhags,

I didn’t spend 6 years in college weaving baskets.

Well, they obviously didn't teach you to spell very well there, or think very well for that matter. Jimmyhags, I think it's time you took a nice, long break from this thread. Go take some blood pressure meds, and perhaps try weaving a basket— would probably do you good. Thanks for stopping by.
