Ron Weinland: Discussion Part 10

20 days remain until God will be trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored, not to mention loosing the fateful lighting of his terrible swift sword, la de da. So sayeth Ron Weinland. Personally, I thought the opening of the “seventh seal” was a pretty big disappointment after Ron said the world would be in “shock and horror” on that *yawn* fateful day a couple weeks ago. But there you are: the reality very rarely lives up to the hype.

Anyway, I’d like to ask a question of anyone who really believes what Weinland is saying: if nothing awesome happens on April 17, will you publicly repudiate Weinland? If not, why not, and what would it take for you to repudiate him?

    nsj

i read about the green bar on the cog-pkg website, in FAQ section

  2. kurt Says:

What if things do not happen exactly as Ron says: nuclear terror attacks on numerous American cities? What if SF gets hit by the ‘big one’? A terrorist biological attack?

  3. Peter Says:

Of course I will publicly repudiate Weinland, and he has even said he will publicly repudiate himself too in April comes to pass with his prediction of complete destruction to the U.S. I am sure everyone else in his little church will repudiate him as well. BIG CLAIMS BIG STAKES HERE! Never has anyone been so specific.

  4. Robert S Says:

Bancam you “may not be the most brilliant person on this blog” as you said (not sure I agree with that), but you sure did a better job succinctly making your point with few paragraphs compared to my rambling! Great job :-)

  5. nsj Says:

oh rkay101….I see that now. I always thought it was a hush hush secret. but i guess they don’t give as much detail in announcements ast they used too.

  6. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

Never has anyone been so specific.

Except for the other false prophets I’ve called out on this blog, of course. Oh, and lots more that I haven’t, too.

  7. Peter Says:

Ok, have anyone been so specific as telling pratically the precise date and locations and the magnitude of such!?? I don’t think so! Prove me wrong and show me another false prophet that has made such specific claims with very high consequences.

  8. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

Man, aren’t you even visiting the links I’m giving you? I’ve practically put the answers on a silver platter for you.

    You tire me.

  9. Peter Says:

I did see the links, and still don’t see anyone that is more specific than Ronald Weinland that has garnered as much exposure. Can you not follow that logic or am I still tiring you out?

  10. Ironwolf Says:

So you didn’t see the links, and then you took, what, 30 seconds to examine them?

Yes, Peter, I am literally become more weary of you by the minute.

  11. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

My bad. My trigger finger’s getting itchy here. You say you did see the links. Yisrayl Hawkins? Ahmad Nishitoba?

  12. Peter Says:

Of course I can see people that have come out with bold claims and specific about the end of the world happening, etc. but has ANYONE before captured as much media attention as Weinland? I don’t think so. Maybe that is what I am getting at.

  13. Peter Says:

Ah ok, a few people I haven’t heard about with Yisrayl and Ahmad, but why didn’t they capture such widespread interest and attention. That is what I am getting at here.

  14. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

I note that Ronald Weinland is also poised to be flushed into the long pipe of false prophets. See any similarities between him and his many, many predecessors listed on that site?

  15. Peter Says:

I just researched Yisrayl Hawkins. Even he isn’t as specific as Weinland.

  16. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

Ah ok, a few people I haven’t heard about with Yisrayl and Ahmad, but why didn’t they capture such widespread interest and attention. That is what I am getting at here.

The reason that Weinland has captured such attention (which doesn’t amount to a hill of beans so far except among dyed-in-the-wool end-of-worlders like you and ex-WCG people like me) is that he is following his own refinement of Herbert Armstrong’s eleven secret herbs and spices. It’s a classic flavor that’s mesmerized tens or even hundreds of thousands of people for decades, and Ron’s given it a little twist of Internet to make it really appeal to the kiddies.

Nothing more. It’s still 100% made of fail, as you’ll soon find out.

  17. Peter Says:

So I take it Ironwolf that you 100% belief that nothing is going to happen and everything will be peachy in May and Weinland will be disgarded down the toliet? I hope you are very right!

I do see the similarties that is for sure. But ponder this question Ironwolf. Has anyone before Weinland been able to give out his books for free, have massive amounts of Google banner ads for his book all over the freaking place (a lot of money goes into that marketing), and also numerous radio programs (even from mainstream outlets such as Fox News and CNN)?

Not even Yisrayl Hawkins or Ahmad Nishitoba was anywhere near that kind of exposure.

  18. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

I just researched Yisrayl Hawkins. Even he isn’t as specific as Weinland.

Holy nukes, Batman! Not specific? Watch this!

  19. Peter Says:

That is still a poor excuse of “oh, he is part of the Armstrong group and that is why he is getting a lot of exposure.” I don’t believe that is the case. There is much more to it.

And in regards to me being a dyed-in-the-wool end-of-worlders, I just have done my research and see that it all correlates with a variety of different topics.

  20. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

Why do you count exposure for so much? Armstrong gave away millions of dollars of books, pamphlets, magazines, and major market TV airtime away for decades. If Google had existed back then you know he would have had banner ads out the wazoo! The count of Armstrong’s followers and the size of his income is the stuff of Ron Weinland’s wet dreams. And his predictions were plenty specific for his followers.

  21. Peter Says:

Come on, that isn’t very specific. I can say, oh, there will be a major earthquake on this day, or some vague oh there will be nuclear war on this day and people will laugh. Weinland on the other hand is not only mentioning time but also 6-7 different locations. This guy Yisrayl Hawkins is so vague compared to Weinland it is a joke.

  22. Peter Says:

Oh yea, he also doesn’t make the claim he is one of the two witnesses OR! the claim that says if it doesn’t happen, which I am 100% right it will happen (what Weinland says), that I will gladly come out saying I am a false prophet. That is what I am saying Ironwolf. Never has anyone been so specific. See where I am getting at?

  23. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

Oh, so now six or seven locations is what’s needed to be credible? That’s all you’ve got? Come on, you’re grasping at straws here.

  24. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

I have nothing more to say to you. I just want to know the date: the date by which you will come back here and repudiate Weinland if nothing earth-shattering happens in six or seven locations. Is it April 17, Peter? Just name the date: I want to hear it from you personally.

  25. Peter Says:

Armstrong wasn’t even that specific. He was vague. Hal Lindsey was around that time too. I mean, people sensed it back then that we could be in the end times and used bible prophecy and came up with their own predictions. Armstrong nor Hal Lindsey claimed they were one of the two witnesses. I still think there is a much deeper meaning why Weinland’s Google ads are everywhere. You know why I say that, because he has a small church and not a lot of followers and he is giving his book out for free? So where in the hell is the money coming from for him to advertise on Google all over the place. Did he cut a good deal with Google or what?

  26. Peter Says:

After April 20th I will glad repudiate Weinland. I do even know because I don’t think he is one of the two witnesses in my opinion. I always thought two witnesses were two churches with people encompassing them, not two individual people. So whether this happens in April or not, in my opinion he is still going to be a false prophet. But I will tell you this, if this does go down in April and ton of people will start listening to him after that. But I think I was correct with my original statement that no one before Weinland has ever been so specific as you can read in my above statements.

    To recap!

    1) Stating he is one of the two witnesses (a true prophet from God)
    2) Boldly saying he will repudiate even himself if his predicition for April comes to pass with nothing happening. He has clearly said this numerous times. It is a no-brainer and he will not be the type trying to push out the date and trying to make up some excuse for it.
    3) He has been on major media outlets, such as Fox News and CNN radio. Not some run in the mill end of the world freak here, or he would not be on these programs.
    4) He is giving his books away for free and shipping them anywhere in the world for free. He is not in it for the money! Pratically unheard of for some end of the world freak because usually they are the ones trying to get money out of people.
    5) Claiming a specific time and locations for when it is going to happen.

Can you please tell me if anyone out there in the past has ever been that specific? That was my original question.

  27. Firestorm Says:

Peter: “Weinland on the other hand is not only mentioning time but also 6-7 different locations. This guy Yisrayl Hawkins is so vague compared to Weinland it is a joke.”

Yeah…except he is not specific. For instance he mentions the it can happen at any-time in April then he says it will happen on the money 17th, then he mentions that it will happen later after the 17th(?). It’s all in the (un- edited) radio interviews addressing the pagans.

  28. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

After April 20th I will glad repudiate Weinland.

    Fair enough. See you here.

  29. Robert S Says:

Tic tic tic, insert crickett sound :-)

  30. Peter Says:

Well I already repudiated him, but I will definately repudiate his prediction if April 20th rolls around with the world being peachy and be the first one to post what a lunatic prediction that was.

  31. Firestorm Says:

    2) Boldly saying he will repudiate even himself if his predicition for April comes to pass with nothing happening.

Ummmmmmm. This does not exclude spiritual happenings.
For instance the stuff he makes up in his head.
If he had his way he would turn everything to spiritual happenings…similar to False Prophet Herbert1 tactics…however it is still pending what Herbert2 is planning.

  32. Peter Says:

He said clearly April is it and will say he is a false prophet after April. You can’t get as specific as that.

  33. rkay101 Says:

RW said that April 17th is the last day of 30 days of silence in the heavens, from when the seventh seal was opened. So, clearly this means (according to RW) that nothing is to occur on the day (plus 30 days after the opening of the seventh seal) of the opening of the 7th seal.

If nothing happens between April 17th - April 30, then i would consider him a false prphet.

  34. Peter Says:

But you see this can still happen and he can still be considered a false prophet. Doesn’t mean that if this prediction comes true that he will be one of the two witnesses.

  35. kurt Says:

Keep in mind that Ron’s elders will keep and eye on what draws people to Ron’s lunacy, and focus on that.

  36. kurt Says:

They will sound like an innocent youth searching for the truth. A beauty full spiders web with droplets of dew glistening in the morning sun.

  37. Reciprocity Says:

    Peter,

I might refrain from engaging ironwolf head on as you did a few lines above. I’m left feeling a bit uncomfortable after that exchange. Kind of like I felt last night, after watching a lion eat a baby zebra on Discovery HD.

    Poor thing didn’t have a chance….

  38. Peter Says:

Well are you a buddy of his or a part of Weinland’s church? Pleaseeeeeee. It is a debate. You can’t have a lively debate between two people? I don’t understand.

Sorry you feel all uncomfortable now because of a little lively debate. Ironwolf can gladly block me for the time being and then unblock me around April 20th lol I don’t care. Maybe that could be a good thing.

  39. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

I don’t know the guy, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say that I think he was just using poetic language to say, “IMHO, Ironwolf won that lively debate.”

  40. Firestorm Says:

rkay101: “If nothing happens between April 17th - April 30, then i would consider him a false prophet.”

Well if he feels up to it (aka not enough personal financial security yet )he can start the stretching game! With introductory words such as Yahoo! Wow! Amazing! and of course his famous….Truly!
He is going to start saying things like spiritual this or that happened with a sprinkling of the physical to make it look good such as the Pope said some very mean things!, and a cat fell of a tree right across the street where we held our Sabbath! therefore this means so and so and…uhhhh God is testing us now and stuff.

  41. Todaysfate Says:

Something is going to happen on April 17th …. but those of you who have it in your mind that Ron W has nothing to do with it will say its not big enough.

I don’t believe Ron EVER said that the USA would be destroyed in April …. he said the USA would begin to be destroyed in april.

Dont forget that a woman in labor starts with contractions … quit expecting BIRTH. “BIRTH” insn’t until 2011. This come from the words in the BIBLE … not Ron Weinland.

Ron W is already incorrect in my mind … because the destruction of the US is already underway. Has been for about the last 7 years. Proving Ron W a false prophet is not going to stop the destruction of the United States.

The truth is … some of you will NEVER believe Ron W is true … even if everything happens as he says. Christ himself may be before you on Sept 29th 2011 and some will not believe it. I know a guy that says even if CHrist comes in the flesh … he’s really just a higher life form … an “alien”.

  42. Peter Says:

That is fine if he thinks you won the debate and I lost. ha! Hey, give me credit, I stayed on the topic (Weinland) and didn’t go off onto the Mayan calendar, little green aliens and who killed JFK or 2PAC.

  43. Jack Says:

I just hear a sermon from 12/06 that nsj or njs posted. WOW, STARTING JAN 2007!! Where are these sermons, I cant find them on his site or the church site… where did nsj Get them….IM ANY CASE if i would have heard this months ago, i would have helped me to realize that RW is false on 2 accounts. #1 hes just about the WORST public speaker ive ever heard. He says the EXACT same things not even using different words, sermon ot sermon week to week month to month YEAR to YEAR.. HOW can people stay interested in him….#2 NO THUNDERS all of 2007 !!!!!!!!!!!!! SHEESH!!!!!!

  44. Todaysfate Says:

Perhaps this is for the other forum ….

But … could a person who is standing before Christ in the flash but still refuses to believe be holding “faith” in atheism?

  45. Ironwolf Says:

    Todaysfate,

OK, time to put your money where your mouth is: you seem to think that something is going to happen on the 17th. What’s your threshold for how big that thing has to be for it to convince you that Weinland is a true prophet? Give some examples of the smallest “big” thing you would accept. And if not on the 17th, then by what date?

  46. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

Hey, give me credit, I stayed on the topic (Weinland) and didn’t go off onto the Mayan calendar, little green aliens and who killed JFK or 2PAC.

    Mad props, bro. ;)

  47. Reciprocity Says:

    Peter,

Thank you for proving my point with your last post. In fact, I am quite stimulated by a “lively debate” and that is certainly not what took place earlier.

    And about debating with Ironwolf…

Would you bring a spoon to a knife fight?

You’re just not “equipped” in this arena.

  48. Ironwolf Says:

    Todaysfate,

Perhaps this is for the other forum ….

    Yep, it is.

  49. Ironwolf Says:

    Reciprocity,

I am quite stimulated by a “lively debate” and that is certainly not what took place earlier.

Well, I try to liven it up a little. It’s all I can do sometimes to keep from falling asleep.

  50. Firestorm Says:

“I don’t believe Ron EVER said that the USA would be destroyed in April …. he said the USA would begin to be destroyed in april.”

Say no more that sounds reasonable enough…if indeed he said this…but then he says many other contradicting things too. Ahem anyways these sign/wonders/physical happenings (the beginning of birth pains) would have to be new…that’s right ‘new.’ If it’s something from the 10 o’clock news that says 100 Iraqi civilians have died…well that’s a ‘common’ type of news (sadly). Therefore this something has to be a w.t.h is going on here type of event…and hopefully the people camping out in the woods (plus must not forget about the Eskimos) will be able to see/hear it also without the aid of televisions and or radio mediums…

  51. Peter Says:

In my opinion it is between April 17th-April 20th. So clear and easy to see. Doesn’t take rocket science to figure that out. So Todaysfate, it seems to me you are like me, thinking that something potentially is going to happen on the lines of what Weinland is saying but you don’t believe he is one of the two witnesses (a prophet from God) right?

  52. Reciprocity Says:

    Ironwolf,

I actually enjoy reading your posts a great deal. I’ve been lurking here a month or so and simply posted today out of frustration (been getting more frustrated with humanity in general lately). I find your perspective refreshing and share many of your views.

I find that people even have a hard time infusing some basic logic into debates over the most unemotional and straight forward topics. Once you get into religion, you might as well throw out the word “debate” and call it something else entirely because (in my experience) emotion and subjectivity taint any basis for an intellectual discussion. Sometimes it’s difficult for me to watch so I lashed out at Peter a bit out of frustration.

So far you’ve been one of the only exceptions to that rule so that is why I find you refreshing.

So try to keep from falling asleep and maybe you’ll keep me up as well.

  53. Peter Says:

Well I still don’t see how I lost in that debate! Please explain how that wasn’t a debate? Was it an arguement? You have one perception of it, another person can have a different perception of it, etc. That is your opinion.

Ironwolf, as I can see you grew up in this Christian WCG but recently (last 10 years or so) became an atheist right?

  54. Beaver Says:

When nothing happens this April, I expect Weinland will declare himself a false prophet, as he promised. If he doesn’t, we should all inundate the PKG website with the following in the subject line “You’re full of Sh–”

I read the book and he has no out !!!

    The Beaver

  55. Peter Says:

Beaver, lol, I agree, everyone should inundate the PKG website if nothing happens in April and say that.

  56. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

Ironwolf, as I can see you grew up in this Christian WCG but recently (last 10 years or so) became an atheist right?

I realized I was an atheist around 1995-96, so about 12-13 years.

  57. Peter Says:

    Ok cool

  58. kurt Says:

Beaver, dude, we can only see things on a spiritual level. God reveals things gradually as he sees fit. Ron has until November for nukes to go off.

  59. Peter Says:

No, Ron doesn’t have until November for nukes to go off. It is April and he has repeatedly said that numerous times and says he will say he is a false prophet after April if it doesn’t happen. Black and white, clear as day.

  60. kurt Says:

Are you willing to go up a prophet of God? Ron has had these spiritual revelations since 2004. He can only go on what he sees at that given time. Things become clearer as time goes on. We now have a 6 to 12 month window for the down fall of the USA.

  61. Ironwolf Says:

    Kurt,

OK, what’s your “drop dead date” on Weinland? What are your “lose conditions” for his claims of prophecy?

  62. kurt Says:

Go ahead and go your false ways, know this is abhorrent in Gods eye. Just imagine how embarrassed you will be after the 1000 years, and you are standing naked, yes NAKED! before all the prophets and God and Jesus.

  63. kurt Says:

    Ironwolf;

long time ago, I pronounce him (Ron) not only false, but evil. Give me nukes on the 17th and I’ll point out Satan!

  64. Ironwolf Says:

    Kurt,

But you are predicting 6-12 months for the downfall of the USA? Do you have a web site? You might be worth your own thread.

  65. Peter Says:

Ironwolf, I can understand after growing up in WCG that it did a total mind f**k on you and it looks like it did to numerous others. Heck, if I was in that, and than had an awakening/revelation to it, I would become a non-believer, atheist, what not.

I grew up in Catholic schools my whole life. Went to a Jesuit college. I never really got into organized religion or attend mass because I just kind of thought it was silly. Around 9-11, for various reasons, living a party life, etc. I almost became baptized Mormon, ha! I got very close but something wasn’t feeling right when these Mormon elders who were my age asked me to get down on my knees and pray to Joseph Smith that he is the true prophet. That didn’t sit right with me at all, and felt like they were conning me into it so they could get brownie points by getting another person to become baptized. I then told them, sorry, I am still going to drink a beer and they said, well that is against the rules and I said, peace out then. About a month straight I was hounded as to why I backed out, and then finally blew a fuse and told them to leave me alone and that there religion is a perverted cult.

Within the last 4-5 years I think started to see what was totally wrong with the Catholic church. If you haven’t seen the movie Deliver Us From Evil, watch it. One of the best documentaries ever!

Also over the past 4-5 years, I just wasn’t interested in going to church, and was more interested in women and partying. Probably around early 2007 I started to realize we could very well be in the end times and started reaching the Mayan calendar and that lead me to Ron Weinland. I totally believed him at first. I was ignorant. I guess I was a new Christian. I even believed in the pre-trib rapture. lol Then within the past year, I started buying numerous books, spent a good $8000 on books to understand as much as I quickly can. I had major catching up to do but I guess I had somewhat of a decent foundation with my education.

I started to become very spiritual and quite my previous lifestyle. I started to read the Bible and research other topics. I am ignorant on what atheism is all about. But I did just read your opinion about God and organized religion and I have a very similar wavelength to what you said in your philosophy section.

I agree with what you said, and I actually don’t go to church. I have just for the heck of it with a friend a few times within the last 3 months but I got turned off by the huge elaborate church that was made into one big huge production show with a Christian Rock band, lights, multimedia, etc. I know one thing, talking about the end times really wouldn’t be brought up at this church. So I stopped going. I think they preach more of the candy gospel stuff like Osteen and Warren do. They don’t teach the whole bible but pick and choose what they want to teach so they know how to make themselves unique from all the rest and profit themselves with it.

The only person that I actually like is Harold Camping. He makes the most logical sense in regards to church, religion, the Bible, God, etc. than i can find anyone out there. So I will always believe that there is a God, and there was Christ, and he was resurrected, and the Bible is inspired through God to scribes over 1500 years. Also, we are all sinners too, whether you are Christian or not, and I believe through Christ is the only way.

But I can totally see what you are saying in regards to your philosophy Ironwolf. And I am no bible thumper to change your mind or opinion because I know what happened to me after a month of constant badgering.

(All this obviously is my opinion, whether you can appreciate it or not.)

  66. kurt Says:

Know a tree by the fruit it bears.

  67. kurt Says:

    Ironwolf;

I was playing the devils (Ron’s) advocate.

  68. Ironwolf Says:

    Peter,

    I guess I was a new Christian.

Thanks for your story. But judging by it, I’d say you still are a new Christian. After you’ve been through a few “promised end times” you’ll probably wise up.

  69. kurt Says:

Beware these long mind numbing posts, they turn off knowledge seekers.

  70. Peter Says:

LOL! I hope so, 23 more days and both of us should know. I wouldn’t consider myself a new Christian though or I would be buying Joel Osteen’s book.

    http://dillsnapcogitation.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/osteen.png?w=178&h=172

  71. Peter Says:

By the way, thanks for recommending that Carl Sagan book. Surprised I haven’t seen it before at Borders. I am going to get it tonight. I just bought last weekend the Cosmos DVD set and about to start it tonight. That guy is amazing!

  72. Robbi Says:

come on guys, ther’e no debating the date…it’s April 17…go back and listen to all those interviews!

  73. Brandon Says:

Weinland Watch, I was the one who posted on your website about the church’s reaction to the opening of the 7th seal. The church said:

“The beginning of the fall of the USA and other Israelite countries will happen from the start of the 1260 days. It is not known how long this will take to be completed. It may take 6 to 12 months.”

I took this to mean that it would take 6-12 months for these countries to fall, not that it would take 6-12 for it to start. It won’t happen all at once. I’m not defending Weinland, but I thought that was a little bit of a misrepresentation of what the church said. For me, I’m waiting until April is over to declare Weinland a false prophet.

  74. Peter Says:

Sorry, 20 days actually. But my date is April 20th.

  75. Peter Says:

Out of curiosity Ironwolf, since you believe April is going to come to past with nothing happening, and I would seriously love you if you are right, and I can stop being a nervous anxious fruit loop, where do you see the world is 5-10 years? Better or worse?

  76. kurt Says:

    Brandon,

It is 6 to 12 months from the beginning of April 17th.

March 18th marked the day Jesus Christ opened the 7th seal, what an amazing thing!. And then there was in heaven about 30 days of calm. Spiritually this translates to 30 days in terms of earth time. So April 17th is when the 1st angel sounds the horn. The mind of man cannot comprehend such a thing. Truly, these are not the end times! This is the time for Jesus, and God, to return to earth!

  77. Mcrose Says:

Hey Dewayne, Just wondering if you are still out there? (I think we may have lost him.) If you are, please come back, I am still curious about the question addressed to you in part 9 of this thread. I would also like to ask you why Ron never has prayer with his sermons? That seems odd to me, I would think that if he is Gods final Witness, that he would be praying for his followers and be praying for the lost souls in this world too. I just find it stange that I’ve not heard him pray to God for anything. Even Jesus prayed to God on the mount of olives before his cursifiction.

  78. kurt Says:

Jesus will not be returning as some ‘turn the other cheek hippie’. That is a totally false concept! Jesus will return with a sword in his hand! He will return to mow down the false believers! You who are lukewarm! His wrath will be upon you!

  79. kurt Says:

    Hey Mcrose;

God has not tried to save ’souls’. If He were doing that he would be doing a piss poor job. There is a much larger plan that God has incepted at the beginning of creation.

If God has not called you through His Holly Spirit, then it is simply not meant to be, that you be suckered in by the likes of Ron.

  80. Peter Says:

Jesus will return at the very end. The intense wrath will be before Jesus comes back again from my understanding. During the Great tribulation Satan will be practically in full control for 3 1/2 years, but then will be bound at the end. Says it in Revelations and I will stick to the Bible.

  81. kurt Says:

Yea, see, Peter you lack that spiritual revelation. Without that, well, your nothing.

  82. Mcrose Says:

Kurt, what? I don’t quit understand what you are saying. Are you saying that prayer is a waste of time? Is that why Ron and his church doesn’t do it? You have lost me somewhere????????

  83. kurt Says:

All right; I’m the second witness. Let me proclaim it here on this mighty forum. I do this as an act of humility, for I am only an expression of the frailty that defines humanity. God bless you all.

  84. Peter Says:

LOL! You tell me I don’t have the spiritual revelation and i am nothing and now you are claiming you are one of the two witnesses? lol You are joking right?

  85. kurt Says:

    Microse;

Pray to God. Make sure your God is God and not a false God.

  86. kurt Says:

    Oh Peter,

Those who are first shall be last. Be not smitten on this turn of events. It has been Gods plan for all eternally.

  87. kurt Says:

Okay, I am joking, quite freaking me out.

  88. Mcrose Says:

Thanks Kurt, but I don’t need your permission to pray to God. I pray everyday, and I will pray for you too. I am also praying for Ron, because I think he is going to need it.

  89. kurt Says:

Get the brain in your head working, its the only chance you got!

  90. Peter Says:

Well I will take that you are joking about being one of the two witnesses. Freaking you out? Not really sure how! ha ha

  91. Mcrose Says:

Kurt, we’ll see about my chances, why are you so rude to people? Does it make you feel Big and powerfull or something?

  92. Peter Says:

Kurt, you are totally using a lot of the same lines and theology Weinland is using yet you don’t believe he is one of the two witnesses. Yet you say you are!? Do I have that correct?

  93. kurt Says:

    Mcrose;

Sorry, do not mean to be rude. I am a nobody trying my best to help out my brothers. In this case we have to be loud. Peace out, with love, and I mean that!

  94. kurt Says:

We already know who you are Peter, I mean dewayne. You are that Australian guy- wayne Mathews. Or whoever is currently representing them. We are aware of your devious plans. Keep asking yourself- is this from God?

  95. Peter Says:

    HUH? lol

  96. kurt Says:

Very well. I the 2nd witness tire. If you cannot form your questions into reasonable questions through Gods Spirit, then you will very likely find yourself dead and awaiting resurrection. Let it be known that it is the final witness’s duty to discriminate these last duties, such as, as an abomination, be before the Lord. Let it be so.

  97. kurt Says:

    Oh, hey Peter;

Sorry, got nothing to say to you.

  98. kurt Says:

My message is to those who have not been indoctrinated into your cult.

  99. nsj Says:

Mcrose…..They do have an opening and closing prayer with every sermon, it just usually gets cut out with the editing. His group is kind of strange about prayer though. It’s different from what you might think. They don’t pray at every meal, and they generally don’t pray in front of people because they think it’s showing off. An individual would usually go off to a seperate room and pray. I’ve also noticed this with my family that is involved… if someone is praying in a group….examp. dinner with non-members, high school graduation, funeral, etc. They don’t even bow their heads and they keep their eyes open and don’t pay attention. Obviously because they think that God doesn’t hear anyone’s prayers but their group.

  100. Todaysfate Says:

Hmmm…. what’s the smallest “big” thing?

Ok…. say that in april…. 2.2 million ARM home loans reset.

    That’s it.

Why? Because even the so called “experts” on the economy have been wrong in “predicting” every possible “side effect” that has been occurring since this thing started about a year ago.

Things are happening to families, business, and property as a result of these problems that have never been forecasted before. CONVENTIONAL WISDOM is not working in this case.

The social and psychological effects of these problems are so far and wide that there is no way to even describe them in one sitting let alone imagine them.

Perhaps the average American feels this isn’t their problem if they aren’t the “fools” who took out erroneous loans to begin with? Well…. someone had to “invent” this way of doing business in the first place … we are ALL victims and perpetrators at once. IT WILL affect you when someone is busting into your home with a 9mm in hand trying to steal not your diamonds … but your bread.

And the amount of people facing foreclosure is supposed to triple this spring.

The Bible does say that the “love of money is the cause of all kinds of evil”.

It’s the BIBLE (not Ron W) … that says the suffering will sneak up on us like a thief in the night and will GRADUALLY get worse leading up to the return of Christ. Believe it or not…. there are people now in this country litterally “DESTROYED” already by milk and bread costing double what it did a month ago. Those people can’t be here … they are the ones who can’t afford $19.95 a month for high speed or dial up.

True … unless you are paying attention … you probably won’t be shocked by anything that happens on any day let alone APRIL 17th… because you have to look hard for the real bad news. It’s usually in the back of the newspaper not the front or 5 pages into CNN or MSNBC … and not mentioned on TV at all.

Perhaps you will claim we’ve all been thru this before … maybe you want to point out the “Great Depression” …

Well… thanks to the folks with that attitude … we get the BOMBS, earthquakes, floods, and an ICE age to go along with it.

  101. nsj Says:

Jack….On the church website, there is a link at the top that says sermon archive. That is where I got those from. He makes references to the 7 thunders sounding in January 2007 and his petition to God in “The deeper purpose of prayer” parts 1-3 from December 2006. If you listen to those and the others up through Jan of 2007 you’ll hear him boldly claim that the 7 thunders will begin to sound in all their purpose in January, then in February he retracts it saying that he was over anxious and it isn’t time yet.

  102. Banncam Says:

Kurt, are you drinking beer again?

  103. renton Says:

Todaysfate: just curious, you’ve mentioned an ice age a couple times now… where does this come from? What happened to global warming? Or are you talking nuclear winter?

  104. Banncam Says:

    Mcrose,
Here is the deal about the prayers… They do open & close meetings in prayer as nsj says.

But it is a REAL priviledge to be “ASKED” to pray in church so…RW wants to “gift” a man (never woman) the opportunity to pray. It is a GREAT feature because AGAIN RW feels VERY powerful in his authority and the person who is asked has an opportunity to be “heard” by the “great RW”…possibly earning brownie points. They have an “approved” prayer list with a few men’s names…If you are on the list…HE can ask you to pray.

Also as nsj mentioned. You won’t hear the members say “amen” after YOU or I pray because saying “amen” means I AGREE and they cannot “AGREE” with our prayers…as we are NOT GOD’S people in their eyes.

It is all a power trip for RW and a sad state for everyone else involved although THEY DON’T even know how sad it is…

  105. Todaysfate Says:

Renton … if you saw Al Gore’s lecture on Global warming…. you would have seen that the ultimate end result of Global Warming is an ICE AGE like condition affecting the top 2 fifths of the globe .. Which is basically all of Europe and everything north of Mexico.

Then … he goes on to claim this whole thing could happen in as rapidly as one pass of the seasons if enough of Greenland melts at once.

  106. Banncam Says:

    ROBERT!!!
I think you just said I “hinged” on brilliant!

    I love that about you!

  107. Banncam Says:

Oh no! Al is the 2nd witness!

  108. Todaysfate Says:

I think I read somewhere in the back of a newspaper that indeed Greenland is melting … and faster that any of the “experts” expected it to.

More and more scientists are being quoted these days using phrases like “unexplained reasons”, “defies logic”, “unnerving pace”, “alarming rate”, “unprecedented” etc….

    Anyone else notice this lately?

  109. Banncam Says:

    Hey Beav!
You said “When nothing happens this April, I expect Weinland will declare himself a false prophet, as he promised”

Sorry dude! THIS AIN’T gonna happen. I WISH it would…but THERE is NO WAY this man is going to do it! He is so full of ’stuff’…. he’ll never do it…

I just hope he doesn’t decide to show his “twisted” power over people and end up handing out poison wine a Passover in April instead of admitting he is a total failure and fraud.

  110. steve (lower case) in Australia Says:

What are you guys doing for Earth Hour tonight ? could be a very relaxing time, no lights, appliances etc. Give the gloom and doom a break. Chill the beer and chillax guys :)+< (yes, off topic..but wtf)

  111. Banncam Says:

RKay101, if you are giving RW that much time to prove his is the deal witness… you are generous. WAY more generous than he will be with anyone in his presence.

I like generosity…it sort of makes me itch and get all creepy about being generous toward RW, but if you need to for your own conscience, then so be it.

I guess I wasn’t very generous. I ONLY gave him till his 1st prophecy FAILED big time…

  112. Banncam Says:

    Hey Peter…
The question about how RW is getting so much attention…?

Just so you know… HE HIRED A PUBLICIST….

That is their job…I know a few. His publicist was probably NOT REAL good, because if he had hired a “high power” publicist…he’d have been on WAY more things.

I don’t know if he still retains a publicist now or not. But he did have one hired for a while

  113. Todaysfate Says:

Despite what I think it really is that will bring the USA down first (see above) … I also talked about in part 8 of this blog about the possible pending terrorist plot … there was a website with “proof” of this … but has since been put out of business. Regardless …. Ron may not be right about the exact date for 2 reasons ….

#1 …. Ron is human … and God grants humans the free will to think on their own … even come uop with their own ideas … even WHILE recieving devine prophesis through the holy spirit.

#2 … The evil ARAB terrorists are human too… and God grants them free will …. so I know if I were one of them and caught wind of what Ron W says … I think I would deliberately change my plans in order to further mess with the Christians.

I know Ron has been placing alot of weight on the doomsday nuclear bomb scenario … but I believe that is HIS fallacy … not Gods…. I believe the more sinister changes that are happening to us on a spiritual level are where Ron has been right on.

Someone said before that RON has no “love” … who can honestly disagree that the whole of humanity seems to be losing it’s love as well. This is the sign… and when we get colectively to the point where no one cares anymore about anything at all … well … then that is the time for Jesus to return.

  114. Banncam Says:

YOU said: “#1 …. Ron is human … and God grants humans the free will to think on their own … even come uop with their own ideas … even WHILE recieving devine prophesis through the holy spirit.”

    Prove this from scripture…

Which prophet from the bible prophecied something that DID NOT happen exactly?

I’ve looked…did not find one. I’d like to know if I missed something

  115. Todaysfate Says:

Where in the Bible is any exact date and exact time is mentioned for anything? Let alone what a prohet said.

  116. Banncam Says:

You said: “Someone said before that RON has no ?love? ? who can honestly disagree that the whole of humanity seems to be losing it?s love as well. This is the sign? and when we get colectively to the point where no one cares anymore about anything at all ? well ? then that is the time for Jesus to return.”

Yes…this is Matthew 24:12Open Link in New Window can be proven by scripture

  117. Banncam Says:

TF: Elisha …and Naaman… 2 Kings 5Open Link in New Window

Elisha is the prophet…Naaman needed healing…
Elisha told him to dip in the Jordan river 7 times to be healed. Elisha didn’t even tell him face to face, he sent a messenger….

Naaman was angry, he had already tried everything before but was never healed…but finally decided to listen to God’s prophet and when he did EXACTLY what Elisha told him…

Guess what??? It’s the Craziest thing….! GOD MADE Naaman well … Just FULFILLED what the prophet had told him…

No…wishy washying…no…well it REALLY happened in the 5th dip…Well he REALLY had to dip 12 times to make it work…

If you believe the bible….God MADE the WORDS of HIS prophet TRUE to PROVE to Naaman, and anyone else who heard (or READ) this story that if a person IS REALLY annointed BY GOD…. GOD BACKS them up….

  118. renton Says:

    Todaysfate:

#1: Ron is human, but God knows everything. Why didn’t he pick a better end-time witness? Is Ron really the best humanity has to offer?

#2: Again, even given free will, God should know what they’re gonna do. Besides, you’d think they’d like to stick it to everyone a day before “Passover” if they’re gonna hit the Jews to. Which reminds me, wouldn’t Judah be part of the prophecied destruction too? Surely they wouldn’t use nukes so close to home…

and if Ron’s wrong about bloody-well everything, what makes him a prophet anymore? I’ve said it before: I’d like my prophets from God more accurate than my horoscope!!

  119. Todaysfate Says:

At this point everything is hypothetical ….

I just read that George W is going to Russia to meet with Vladamir P. on APRIL 6th for some “talks”

Say that something crazy happens and Bush gets killed …. I don’t know… Russia IS where the ungarded nukes suposedly are. Or say Putin himself goes bi-polar and stabs Bush in a fit of rage ….

Would that put shock and horror in the world? Would it take more? Say that 10 days later the United states diverts troops or planes from IRAQ to Russia for some kind of quick military strike in retaliation …

Is that a world event or just some military action between the US and Russia?

    Meanwhile ….

The Dali-Lama gets killed “accidently” during some kind of skirmish with Chinese law enforcement.

Meanwhile … back at home … millions of people’s home loans reset to a higher interest rate … and because there will be a sudden surge of people looking for suplemental employment just to keep food in the table… they start fighting over everything from jobs to milk, to fuel like a buch of angry mothers fighting over tickle me elmo on the day after thankgiving. People get hurt … people go without… over time it collectively leads to a rise in divorce, depression, estrangement, suicide, addictions, criminal activity, sexual permiscuity … etc….

What then? Would you say that something BIG is happening?

Sorry about the rant. All RON really needs to GET RIGHT is the what … not the when. The when can be changed by US …. all the Pope has to do is cancel his plans… God will adjust.

  120. Todaysfate Says:

How can you people seriously try to hold God to a set of standards you don’t understand?

I don’t want to defend Ron W prematurely … but he has yet to be specificly wrong about anything …

I dont care if he loses his cool and starts to squirm in the hotseat and says stupid, confusing things because of it … THAT alone does not make his pridictions “wrong”.

People can CHANGE Gods plans … but it only looks that way to us … its ALL Gods plan.

  121. renton Says:

TF - ok, the Putin puttin’ it in Bush thing - that’d be shock and horror.

The housing crisis scenario, if it took a couple years, and that was it, no, sorry. I wasn’t around for the 70s but it sounds worse than that and they invented disco.
We’ve known for a long time we shouldn’t be dependent on the black stuff the Arabs have got oodles of. Overpopulation isn’t something new - its naturally an exponential problem. Us being too good at survival isn’t the hand of God, it’s evolution about to undergo a drastic self-correction at worst.

The only thing that would really make me think Jesus is coming is nukes, and a whole lot of them, preferably predicted by his prophet with at least a day’s notice, thank you very much.

  122. Banncam Says:

You are just as nuts as RW.

Why don’t YOU be the 2nd witness!

In your argument…Anyone can be a witness…. If those things you mentioned REALLY happens…ARE YOU the 2nd witness?

I’m thinking….WHEN the REAL witnesses step forward, it will be more like, a guy, possibly from the Judah line, speaks NO RAIN on earth for 10 days…and THERE is NO RAIN… NOT a DRIP on EARTH…

Then he says, THERE will be NO CLOUD in the sky for those 10 days, and the SUN beats down on us ALL…

AND then he says NOT a breeze will be felt ANYWHERE on EARTH for those 10 days….

The people in China, Alaska, Hawaii, Egypt….Mexico… WE ARE ALL suddenly stunned…. the WHOLE world believes…. NOT just USA!

Then the witness says… The wild animals of the forrests WORLD WIDE will become vicious and unmanageble… Our family pets get rabies from bites, our children can’t play outside because bugs & birds will bite them… WORLD WIDE…. People will begin to REALLY listen to this guy!!

    We will ALL KNOW…

It ain’t regional, national or predjudiced …. It’s a MANKIND event with a CREATOR GOD…

But hey…this is just my opinion and we all know….about me….

    :0)

  123. renton Says:

and this is off topic but wtf… why don’t all these banks with balloon morgages just say, ‘hey, maybe we won’t be such greedy dicks and charge you a REASONABLE interest rate so you can keep your house and we don’t bend over like BearSterns?’

    Why?

  124. Banncam Says:

You said: “People can CHANGE Gods plans … but it only looks that way to us … its ALL Gods plan.”

Where in the bible did MAN change God’s plan???

I’m trying to think of one time. Seems to me, Abraham wanted to save a city because his nephew lived there… Some do say God’s mind was being changed, some say it never was…

Because RW is claiming his authority Through the bible… The BIBLE must prove RW correct… The bible is the ONLY source to prove RW because the BIBLE is where RW claims his authority…

So your statements having to do with RW MUST be proven through scripture….otherwise, it is ONLY your opinion..

Which…if you were born in the US… You were born in a free country…which of course gives you birth right to your opinion…

  125. renton Says:

    now I’m ranting.

If nothing else, we should be grateful to Todaysfate for keeping the discussion from turning into a non-believer’s echo-chamber…

I thought that was the plan anyway.
At least we can still argue.

  126. Banncam Says:

TF: said “I don’t want to defend Ron W prematurely … but he has yet to be specificly wrong about anything … ”

Uh yeah you do want to defend RW, but he can’t be defended! You think he has yet to be wrong….????????????????????

We could make a “chart” on everything he has written or spoken about that hasn’t happened…

We’ve been over so much of it on this blog already … it’s terrible that you can be on page 9 of this blog and have missed it all.

Oh well… you’ll see. RW is already proven wrong by those who understand what a “prophet of God” means and hold him to those standards. For everyone else, whatever standards you hold for a prophet of God….I guess anything goes in that case

  127. Banncam Says:

    so true Renton…..
    you do have a point

  128. Todaysfate Says:

“Where in the bible did MAN change God’s plan???”

Bad way of wording it …. MAN changes MANS plan … thus making it look to someone who wants to use that information against God … that it is in fact Gond plan changing … but its NOT … because that in itself is part of the plan.

So for instance … if the Pope decides NOW … to change his date from April 17 to May 17 … God really has no way to stop him other than by direct mind control which God does not do … so therefore … RON will either LOOK like a false prophet or be told by God to change his date too …. which will make him LOOK like a false prophet to you … am I correct?

  129. renton Says:

again, God should have known he would change to May 17. Either something would still have to happen April 17, or Ron would have had to been saying May 17, and the pope changed his mind to fit Ron’s predictions… not the other way round.
If Ron’s just going to read the newspaper and predict scheduled upcoming events… that doesn’t really make him a prophet. That makes him literate.

  130. renton Says:

you can’t fool God, so you shouldn’t be able to fool his prophets either, I would think.

  131. Todaysfate Says:

    Benncam,

Your description of what a prophet does is exactly what I believe as well…. but this hasn’t STARTED YET. So how can you say that Ron is already failing at it?

What if its not Ron … but the POPE himself on April 20th in New York … he casually says that yellowstone park is going to errupt in 10 minutes because too many abortions took place and one too many people just came out of the closset accross the southwestern United States … and 10 minutes later … half the USA is under lava and ash?

Would you say then that Ron was right or wrong? Call me nuts … but that would make Ron what is known as a “prophet” … right about ONE THING that God told him … but not all of the other stuff he presumed himself from it.

But here is the real question … if something like that were to happen … would Gays and abortionists think twice about what they are doing? Or would it take more?

Or would people rebell against God himself because … hey wait a minute … God really means what he says in the Bible about being Gay and those darn Catholics were right about abortion.

  132. renton Says:

Hehe… the gays and abortionists might think twice, but I imagine they’d be too busy running and dieing to worry about it much longer than that. :P

  133. Todaysfate Says:

    Renton:

“Ron would have had to been saying May 17, and the pope changed his mind to fit Ron’s predictions… not the other way round”

“you can’t fool God, so you shouldn’t be able to fool his prophets either, I would think”

Yes …. and yes …. but i’ll ask you again … how can you (or I) hold GOD to a standard we don’t understand? God has every right to “fool” us. Excpet that wouldn’t be what he is doing … just how we percieve it.

if the whole world feels shnookered by God regarding their salvation, this is beginning to sound like a very dubious God you worship.

  139. mcrose Says:

nsj and Banncam, I just want to thank-you both for answering my question about prayer, I understand how Ron’s group works a little better now, thanks again. That Kurt guy is a lunatic!

  140. Banncam Says:

TF: you don’t make any sense to people who understand the meaning of a BIBLICAL prophet.

The ONLY explaination people who believe the bible need is this…. GOD is in control, the ONLY evidence we know about Him is revealed In the BIBLE… Any annointed prophet of God… WILL be BACK UP, REINFORCED by God. There will be no waivering.

But if a person doesn’t believe in the bible or only parts of it…. NONE of this explaination makes any sense.

We on this this blog who HOLD RW to scripture, because he CLAIMS his authority THROUGH scripture can EASILY see, he is a false prophet.

  141. Weinland Watch Says:

“Jesus will not be returning as some ‘turn the other cheek hippie’. That is a totally false concept! Jesus will return with a sword in his hand!”

According to the NKJV, it will be with a sword in his mouth.

As for prayers, check out Matthews’ closing prayer from the March 8th sermon (I’ve emphasized the language-loading Matthews engaged in throughout):

1:33:19-1:34:22 “Who is the Church of God PKG?” March 8 2008:
“If you would all like to stand. [there is no background noise at this point]

“Great Eternal Father we simply do approach you with humility thanking you very much for the calling that you have given us. Father we do not take anything to ourselves in any way. We know that without you we are nothing and that if you hadn’t have called us, given us this great opportunity we would be like everybody else, but. We also rejoice exceedingly Father that even though people who are hostile at this moment, and do not know the truth of you and your mercy Father, will call them and grant them repentance in a time[?] order. And this is a great joy. Those that die coming up Father, that it’s just a break in time, and in your mercy you will reveal to them a great, wonderful period ahead of them in the Great White Throne Judgement and that they will have the very same opportunity that you have given to millions now to know you. And we just simply thank you for your great name. And so we thank you for this great opportunity for being able to meet on the sabbath to worship you, praise you and give you the glory in the name of Jesus Christ our savior.

    Amen.”

This is a very typical closing prayer. As Wayner was saying it (probably with typical hunched-over-the-microphone pose), I was flashing back to my days in a drafty, concrete block union hall.

    Brandon:

Nowhere did I state that you said it would be six to twelve months; I quoted the letter, as you posted it, which I assume was as it was sent to you. I just emphasized the relevant portions of the letter for those with open minds (i.e., ex-WCG members who have been down this road before) to be able to better recognize what Weinland and his crew are doing, in the way of preemptive “damage control”.

That letter proves why all these people here, waiting on the 17th to “prove” Ron as a false prophet, are not going to be disappointed, he will be proven wrong.

However, the important people who need to be convinced of it, the church members, will just blithely go on, listening to Weinland and Matthews and Harrell as they tell people “six to twelve months”, and start planning for the Feast of Tabernacles again. (Weinland already planted the idea last week that they would be keeping Atonement.)

    That’s the really disappointing part.

  142. Banncam Says:

    YW McRose

  143. RC Says:

Hmmm… McRose, I don’t think anyone on this blog is crazy - I think Kurt, Todays Fate, Dewayne, and others who argue RW’s point are playing devils advocate (whether they believe him or not), and this would be a pretty boring blog if it weren’t for those guys/girls! Just the fact that they’re on here debating seems proof enough to me that they have an open mind, for the most part - so thanks to them for keeping the debate alive!

The other point I thought I’d note is that after listening/reading to Ron and his elders talk and pray, it seems oddly familiar to the pharisee in the pharisee and the tax collector:

“God, I thank you, that I am not like the rest of men, extortioners, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get…”

while the tax collector asks for Mercy on him, a sinner!

It seems to me that if Ron DID get some kind of revelation, it got to his head and he’s due for some humbling from God. If he’s truly a false prophet and he knows it, then I’m sure it will be even worse when the end really does come.

If I’m wrong, may God have mercy on my soul.

  144. kurt Says:

If I were to script this, the 2nd witness would be a woman. Yea, and the future bride of Christ! Thats powerful! That will grab peoples attention. Also, the last shall be the first? Who should the last one be? Who better than Christs future bride? Go ahead, name someone.

If I were to hire a publisher to help me sell this mega scam of being Gods final witness. He might say: “What better 2nd witness than some poor girl (who’s hot) who grew up in the ghetto, needs funds, appeals to the young crowd, and is gonna be freaking Christs future bride!”

All we need is some big event to wake up the sheeple, then we’ll tack this announcement onto that event! Who cares about nukes? Shock and awe baby! If nothing else happens, the pope will have to do. Then we release the commercials…

  145. Firestorm Says:

Todaysfate: “…but this hasn’t STARTED YET.”

This could be partially right. In one of his interviews he says his official job begins I think it was April 17th(?) or was it the month of April(?)
Now this has to mean that the physical happenings and more accurate predictions will have to take precedence. These things will make his job ‘official.’ At the very least to his congregation… (world not included)

If his job becomes official but continues…predicting spiritual happenings
then he would be quickly relegated to the ‘other’ Propheteering sub-categories. What’s unique about this is the supposed physical proof…and as he said (not exact radio quote) “proof is what ‘they’ will have.” So no proof means he lied, if he lied then he is a false prophet. Unfortunately the congregation will have to take this a step further trying
desperately to claim their money back and or seek exit counselors.

This entire plan can be put together…almost. Have spiritual happenings occur for 90% of the time-line of his church then have 10% mix of spiritual and physical (any meaningless news will do) between the months of March and April. Plenty of (or not enough) time to get the tithing’s accomplished.

When his actual job is supposed to take place such as talking to
the entire world…oh my…take a gracious bow before the audience and step down…stepping backwards carefully with the loot.

Don’t know how the extra “s” got in here.

  150. Weinland Watch Says:

It’s starting NOW! Weinland is going on about the announcements and the scattering now.

  151. Peter Says:

It is very interesting to note how when Weinland was asked by a radio host who will do this to us, with these nukes going off in the US, all he said, it will be the same people who did 9-11. I believe the host then asked, “what, Al-Qaeda?” Weinland never said yes or no to this and wouldn’t answer. He then said, all I can say is that i will be the same people who did 9-11. Very interesting there.

  152. Peter Says:

You know I like this guy Weinland. He has a lot of great things to say in my opinion and makes the most sense out of almost any other pastor out there. Although, I still don’t believe he is one of the two witnesses. I don’t believe two witnesses in the book of Revelations means 2 individual people. Who knows, I could be wrong.

  153. Robbi Says:

    I guess I’m a crockpot!!!

  154. Robbi Says:

I’m a critic…and I do get it!..a critic of RW, not the belief in God

  155. renton Says:

    WW — I’m getting a prerecorded sermon.mp3 — is anyone getting a live stream?

  156. Robbi Says:

anyone wanna do a live chat????

  157. Firestorm Says:

WW Website: Weinland does make the point that, if nothing happens by Pentecost in July, with regards to the “fire mingled with blood” of the first trumpet, he will be a false prophet, and he will stop preaching, towards the end of the sermon.

This contradicts his radio interview given statement (I don’t have exact quote) that if nothing happens by April he will go on radio interview and admit he is a false prophet. Right here with this recent sermon statement (if I interpret this correctly) he has lied.
    Draw your own conclusions.

  158. Jack Says:

FIRE: you are 1000000% Correct, not only that but in another interview when asked by the interviewer, “Ron? Why should we believe you?”…his response, April 2008!!!! - I still have some that tell me they are now giving him until End of July, but he has already done “THE CRAZY THING” by changing it from April to July..

  159. Robbi Says:

no doubt in my mind, RW KNOWS what is said on this thread…I felt he came right into my livingroom and physically threatened me…if that’s not a crime against God,
then I don’t know what is!

  160. Jack Says:

PETER, how could you like a man who says hes a prophet that you dont think is a prophet. Do you see the disconnect here. RW says things that my 12 year old recognizes in the world. Selfishness, Uncleanness, Anti-Life, Anti-God. Its not brain surgery!!!

  161. Robbi Says:

sooo. is RW actually reading this on his own, or does he have snitches strategically placed??? To use his own quote: “how sick is that?”

  162. Peter Says:

Because the dude gives me comfort for the next 3 1/2 years, and I believe a lot of the things he says are true. Another person that gives me comfort and is really good to listen to is Harold Camping. I disagree with with Camping on a few things, he is not always right and I guess I feel the same way about Weinland. But who am I to really say. I am no prophet from God, I am just a God-fearing sinner.

  163. Robbi Says:

“You twist and distort what is true. Your mouth and attitude needs to come to an end.” Hello? “One of us is walking on VERY dangerous ground”…I think I need to make sure all my window blinds are closed every nite…

  164. Peter Says:

Another thing that gives me comfort in it all is understanding the Bible, as well as understanding the Mayan calendar. Cycles repeat itself just how it has in the Bible and also in everything in life. It is all about continuous cycles.

  165. Robbi Says:

Peter: what in this sermon gave you comfort?

  166. Ironwolf Says:

    Robbi,

sooo. is RW actually reading this on his own, or does he have snitches strategically placed???

Doesn’t really matter— I’m sure word gets back. We’re averaging almost 500 unique visitors a day, and most of them are looking for information about Weinland. This may be my living room, but there are a lot of folks peeking in the windows and doors.

  167. Robbi Says:

Ironwolf: I gotta be honest with you…I felt threatened…if I made statements like that to any individual or group, that could be comsidered breaking the law…but since RW hides behind his prophetic skirt, he can get away with it, because he is speaking prophetically of course, and not literally, but I got the message loud and clear…what a petty little man he truly is.

  168. Robbi Says:

p.s remind me on April 17 to mark my doorway with lamb’s blood

  169. Peter Says:

Everyone has their own critics, and especially a guy talking about the end of the world. lol I didn’t feel like it was threatening at all. My perception of what he said. Just that he was answering his critics, and I laughed when he mentioned basically Weinland Watch, lol Heck, I have even told people about Weinland and what I think could happen in April and have had a few girls never talk to me again. So much for that first date.

  170. Firestorm Says:

    Proof/evidence = 0
    Lies = 1 (2) see previous posts
Spiritual Happenings = 999 or 666 in case Ron was sleeping.

Get ready for RW’s most famous answer to all and other future questions in the form of……NO! Brothers…God has revealed this word to me and I’m still thinking about it’s awesomeness! I say to you again….NO!!!! Truly awesome…I want everyone to reflect on this word and uhhh…continue to fear God.

  171. Firestorm Says:

    *Cough*
So what about the shock and horror? Hello? Anyone there?
I’m still waiting for an explanation. (spiritual repeating b.s. dis-included)
He now says that the shock and horror will increase but…says no such thing in the book!! Oh really Ron?
    Thereupon this fact….with great boldness I declare RW’s entire book(s) a lie.
..unless he wants to explain his way out…but then again he does not do a lot of explaining….and no….a ‘no’ will not suffice.

  172. Weinland Watch Says:

Oh definitely we’re all under watch by the group. The first part of the announcements today was proof enough of that. Funny though he never did get around to the part he was “saving for later” for the critics and unbelievers. Unless he meant the “bad attitude” thing he was going on about.

Anyway. Looks like Weinland has pushed the date of reckoning ahead to Pentecost. He seemed extremely certain of himself, that he would stop preaching if nothing happened (with regards to a third of all plant life, and tens of thousands of people dying) by June. How can he make such bold assurances like this when everyone knows nothing’s going to happen on even a trillionth of that scale at all, never mind before Pentecost?

People, people, I don’t think Weinland’s coming back from Jerusalem after the 17th April! If that’s even where they’re going in the first place. He says he “doesn’t have the foggiest idea” what’s going to happen next (that is likely a direct result of his untreated schizophrenia by the way), either second by second, or on the 17th.

Except the fact that the Weinlands and the Harrells are going to be in Jerusalem on the 17th April. With an entourage I wonder or will it be just the four of them? Probably an entourage. Hopefully not the bulk of the membership (they don’t seem to be planning to take the church with them, although it’s anyone’s guess what they’re posting to the mailing list for the baptized members). Hopefully the instructions posted to that mailing list will not include boarding last-minute flights to Jerusalem to go with their witnesses. :-(

As we’ve been saying from the beginning, there are three possibilities, namely:

    1. Weinland really doesn’t believe what he’s selling, and is planning to abscond with the money.

    2. Weinland truly believes he’s one of the two witnesses and he’s going to step down when it finally sinks in for him that he’s not.

    3. Weinland’s mental illness will not allow him to accept that he really isn’t one of the two witnesses, and he will take himself out of the picture, to try and “prove” he’s the witness. The only thing uncertain in this scenario is whether or not he will take anyone else out with him when he goes.

Scenario number 3 is looking extremely likely right now, based on today’s sermon, given that he’s relying on “god” to “progressively reveal” what needs to be done. (I.e., whenever Weinland’s mental illness allows him to decide what needs to be done.)

The only thing I can’t quite factor into any of these equations is the wife. Either she’s completely battered (which wouldn’t surprise me given the history of spousal abuse the WCG holds), she’s just going along for the ride because of all the free (expensive) goodies, or she’s just as nuts as he is.

Of course there’s a fourth scenario if you want to be really completist:

Weinland’s wife could be the only one who is completely bonkers, and she’s been the driving force behind this whole “witless” thing all along, and he’s just going along either because A) he wants to believe that his wife’s not crazy or B) he’s milking her mental illness for as much money as he can wring out of people.

Of course that latter scenario would require that Weinland actually love his wife, which rules that scenario out as virtually impossible…………………

  173. Firestorm Says:

Ok so far lets see what we have here:
No spiritual gradual escalation and no starting point to mark it.
No physical gradual escalation and no starting point to mark it.
Having some communication problems with God?
What RW suggests…is a murky/soupy approach. Add a little here add a little there…listen a bit to me…look a bit at what’s happening. And at the end sometime in the near future the you will get your jack-in-the-box.
It sure defeats his self entitled ‘with clarity’ spiel into the muddy ground.

  174. Peter Says:

It sounds to me that the Pope is going to give one heck of a speech on April 17th in Washington of all places (in Weinland’s words).

  175. CallieMae Says:

Robbi, and everybody! Hello. I’m back. Had to work, work, work lately.

Robbi, what did RW say that was threating? Was it something in his sermon today about all of us? My computer is too old or something… I cannot listen to his sermons because it keeps stopping for several minutes then starting again. Frustrating. (It’s prob my tech-deficient self.)

I feel so left out because I coudn’t get on the chat. I feel I must keep up with what is going on here.

  176. Banncam Says:

    WW….
    It is a combination of #2 & #3.

I believe RW does REALLY have mental disorder. He shows classic signs. If he were to get onto meds…he would probably realize what he’s saying and believing and back up majorly.

I also believe he REALLY believes HE is who he says he is. But when found wrong…false… HE WILL NOT shrink away like a broken man. He VERY well MAY try to harm his members through poison or cause them to sell off their homes and move to a commune or something.

  177. Banncam Says:

I think it is funny if he is reading this blog!
HE is such a control freak!

    He can’t control US!

    ha ha ha

  178. CallieMae Says:

    Banncam,

Hello. RW may have a disorder or may have learned to be a con. Or both. I may be too skeptical - but I think he knows what he is doing and if he is going to Jerusalem in April, it may be with a lot of money and then disappear. Did WW say RW is going to Jerusalem in April?

  179. Banncam Says:

If RW had been a REAL witness or prophet from God…and God would be “REVEALING” things as needed…

RW would have KNOWN this in 2006 when he wrote his book.
His book in 2006 would have said there will be “terrible things to happen” but God HAD NOT revealed them yet…God will be revealing them to him on an as needed basis.

But RW is full of himself and liked the attention his prophecies brought.

Me thinks he’s not liking ALL the attention he’s getting now. He doesn’t like answering to peons…
