Ron Weinland: Discussion Part 14

Ron Weinland’s weather forecast for the next two weeks: generally cool and cloudy with seasonal storms and flooding in the US, followed in 12 days by hail and fire mixed with blood falling from the sky! AAUUGGHH!

Did I hear that right today? They’re going to start distributing the Children’s Bible Stories to the parents?? Those poor poor kids! 8O

  2. nsj Says:

where are the bible stories coming from?

  3. WeinlandWatch Says:

Maybe they had some old copies lying around that they had reprinted? Who knows?

Revelation 8:7Open Link in New Window “The first angel sounded his trumpet…
Now of course if this Angel has a big lung capacity the trumpet is going to ’sound’ for months and months on ahead.
    Welcome to the cult everybody!
    Enjoy your ‘proof-less’ stay!

  5. listener Says:

Did RW say at the beginning of today’s sermon that he was granting an interview to someone? It sounded like the recording started after he said something about granting an interview.

  6. JACK Says:

SYNOPSIS PLEASE, im ONLY interested in predictions, prophesies, dates, actions, nukes, storms, the pope, the economy..ANY of this stuff today???

  7. nicole Says:

yes, they are from the old days. my 14 year old child has been given one in the past month

  8. Richard_Saunders Says:

    Might I address your topic?
“The question remains though: Is Weinland stating privately to members (or on the internal mailing list for baptized members) that it is the Pope? The steadfast certainty of the believers’ claims that it will be, or is likely to be, the Pope suggests that there is more information that is being “given” to baptized members than just what we get to see out in the open.”

Here’s the thing - it has been the Pope since before our grandparents were born. In the 1850’s, a Presbyterian pastor name of Alexander Hyslop wrote a book called “The Two Babylons”. Take it whichever way you will (I see it as a great and stately compendium of unabashed hogwash) but this single book has affected the entire prophetic teaching of WCG second only to the Bible.

How Alexander Hyslop could possibly have come across the information he needed to write his book is beyond me. Maybe he did! I wouldn’t think so, however.

Anyhow, this book has claimed the Catholic Church is the direct descendant of Babylonian paganism, the Catholic Church is the prophetic Babylon the Great (which the Bible completely disagrees with), and the Pope has been called the Antichrist, the Beast, the Little Horn, and the False Prophet ever since.

If RW ISN’T talking about the Pope, that would be downright shocking. All signs indicate he is. But I wouldn’t say he’s giving insider information to baptized members… it’s just “assumed” that everyone already understands.

  9. JACK Says:

GOSH, leave my Pope alone already!!! lololol :) -im still waiting on the abridged version of the sermon - thanks all

  10. WeinlandWatch Says:

Didn’t sound like that to me. Here’s my classic soundbite quote from Rotten Ron today:

Why would anyone want to use anyone in Judaism as an authority in Hebrew?

  11. WeinlandWatch Says:

    Nicole……..that is extremely depressing. :-(

  12. WeinlandWatch Says:

    Richard,

You are correct of course. I had completely blanked on “The Two Babylons”. Clearly that must still be recommended reading for the CoG-PKG. How much you want to bet there’s a copy in every congregation’s port-o-library? The more sermons I hear, the more Weinland’s group sounds like WCG ca. 1985. :-(

  13. 2008Grad Says:

    John G to CallieMae:
“Let me clarify since so many people seem hellbent on misunderstanding me. My point is we’ve all had bad experiences in the past; some more than others. But there is a vein of people on here who seem very bitter about it, and vengeful. It seems these people blame the COG for everything that has gone wrong in their lives. The reason I brought my own childhood up is because both me and my brothers experienced the same thing; yet they are bitter and angry while I am content and peaceful. I didn’t go to public school either. I didn’t socialize with unbelievers. There were many other rules. But I think it was one of the best childhoods of my life. I was sheltered from much of the evil that exists in the world. There is good and bad in every situation. There are some on here who are content to wallow in their self-pity like pigs in the mud; it is unsightly and unseemly. If you wish to calmly warn others about perceived dangers in COG philosophy, by all means do so. But to pervert the process into a self-masturbatory action of eternally feeling sorry for oneself does us no good at all.”

None of your pompous, would-be-intellectual blabber is at all pertinent to the COG experience. Your so-called “cult” experience is not comparable to the COG experience. We didn’t get to be home schooled and sheltered from the ridicule of peers. We were shoved into the mix of it to fend for ourselves.

See, it wasn’t just “protecting” us from worldly influence. It was “if you do these things, you WILL burn in the lake of fire. A childhood full of fear.

So, please…spare us all your hot-winded insults. You may think you are so much more “accepting, forgiving, and intellectual” than we. But, your words prove you DEAD WRONG.

PS: Your posts are long, droll, and down right boring.

    Todaysfate:

Protecting your children from the perversions of the world is one thing. Telling them constantly that they are going to burn forever in the lake of fire is another. Please, do us all a favor and inform yourself better on the COG teachings before you even ATTEMPT to join in on this type of conversation.

  14. 2008Grad Says:

    WW:

Did you notice that in the March 29th Ronnie Weenie sermon that he condemned messianic Judaism and anyone who gets information from them?

What are your thoughts on that?

    I respect your posts.

  15. 2008Grad Says:

    Ironwolf,
The banner of this page made me LOL!
    :-D

  16. CallieMae Says:

    John G,

    You said:

“It seems these people blame the COG for everything that has gone wrong in their lives.”

I have not read on here where anyone has blamed “everything that has gone wrong” with their lives on COG. And I have not said it either. I said a some things about my experience during the time I was a part of WCG.

In fact I have a very happy and successful life.

  17. CallieMae Says:

    John G., you said:

“If you wish to calmly warn others about perceived dangers in COG philosophy, by all means do so. But to pervert the process into a self-masturbatory action of eternally feeling sorry for oneself does us no good at all.”

How do you know I eternally feel sorry for myself? You don’t.

If you dont like what I have to say - just skip past it when you see it. That is what I intend to do when I see your post from now on.

I don’t care about what you think.

Ironwolf, I apologize to you for being troll.

  18. Richard_Saunders Says:

    ww,

I’ve got it! Ron Weinland is actually Thulsa Doom from Conan the Barbarian! Why didn’t I see it earlier?!

Contemplate that on the Tree of Woe.

I would so freak if he talks about the riddle of steel in his sermon.

  19. Richard_Saunders Says:

    BTW…. who has transcripts?

  20. 2008Grad Says:

    Calliemae,

You are straight and to the point.

I could not have said it better myself!

    :-)

  21. WeinlandWatch Says:

    2008Grad:

“Did you notice that in the March 29th Ronnie Weenie sermon that he condemned messianic Judaism and anyone who gets information from them?”

You think the Mar. 29 sermon was anti-Semitic? The March 1 sermon was way more anti-Semitic than the one last week.

Selected quotes and a sermon summary, along with the file in its entirety, available here.

  22. 2008Grad Says:

I would like to read the transcript!

Ronnie Weenie’s voice grates on my nerves. :-/

  23. CallieMae Says:

    WW,

In our church area we observed the Nite to B Rem the next nite after Passover. I think it was Passover/foot wash one nite, then next nite NTBMR. (Ithink)

  24. 2008Grad Says:

    WW, thanks for the link.

I haven’t listened to that sermon.

His voice, and sheer lack of intelligence, coupled with a limited vocabulary, make it nearly impossible for me to listen to his sermons in large doses!

  25. CallieMae Says:

    2008Grad,

    Ditto!!

  26. WeinlandWatch Says:

I echo the sentiments about listening to the sermons: The only thing that makes it bearable for me is the IRC we have been doing in the last couple of weeks. :-)

  27. John G Says:

“…If you dont like what I have to say - just skip past it when you see it. That is what I intend to do when I see your post from now on.

    I don’t care about what you think…

Good to hear, but I don’t really read posts to see if I like them or not. I read them to see if there’s any intelligent thought behind them, and as of late, it’s been hard to find.

However, I feel like I’m banging my head against a wall re-iterating the same obvious points to the same people who already think R.W. is a false prophet and yet pretend to be objective and unbiased.

Everybody here already says R.W.’s nuts, or a con artist, or just plain crazy, and yet hang onto his every sermon and analyze his freaking transcripts, which is just plain bizarre.

Honestly - I haven’t even heard one sermon. I’ve heard his main prediction, and that’s all I needed to hear. The only reason everyone here pores over his transcripts is to find some juicy new piece of information that supposedly proves him wrong.

So lucky for you, I will not be posting anymore - there’s nothing left for me to accomplish here anyways. I’m just going to continue living my life, and if R.W.’s predictions come to pass, so be it.

    - JOHN G

  28. Firestorm Says:

Ok…so if it’s not going to start in April…(I take it it will be a Spiritual starting or the spiritual starting has gotten really really strong by April…which only he can ‘explain’.
Then when in May will things happen? Is May going to be spiritual also?
Shouldn’t he be busy booking new radio interviews (just in case) to update/correct his previous interviews instead of planning this trip to Jerusalem?

  29. Jon Says:

Did you hear what RW said about penguins on the ark?

    (I kid, I keeeeed.)

  30. WeinlandWatch Says:

Didn’t he say he had another interview in Cincy booked for next week sometime?

  31. WeinlandWatch Says:

Thulsa Doom! It all makes SO MUCH SENSE!!!!! 8O

OK we now return you to your regularly-scheduled debunkery.

  32. pastor porter Says:

I’ve got a set of those children’s books and they are merely a collection of stories from the OT. The y are no different than any protestant or catholic book of stories from the OT.

  33. 2008Grad Says:

The only bit of truth that has come out of Ronnie’s pie hole is that he “hasn’t the foggiest idea”!

  34. 2008Grad Says:

    Pastor porter:

Except the pictures are scary as H-E-Double hockey sticks! :-O

The pictures were so scary to me as a kid that I refused to even look at them at any great length.

Why not just go to the Bible book store and pick up a set of child-friendly books? You know…the ones that portray God as a loving God?

  35. CallieMae Says:

I always wondered why they didn’t produce any of the Bible Story Books with Jesus in the New Testament times.

  36. WeinlandWatch Says:

“I’ve got a set of those children’s books and they are merely a collection of stories from the OT. The y are no different than any protestant or catholic book of stories from the OT.”

Fred, Fred, Fred, Fred, Freedddddddddd. Every time I think there’s hope for you yet, you go and say something like this.

Or am I the only one who remembers the story of the concubine being cut in twelve pieces and left on each tribe’s doorstep??

Something tells me that, and many of the other “Children’s Bible Stories” would not make the cut, for a catholic or protestant children’s bible stories volume.

  37. CallieMae Says:

    WW,

Is his interview to be on “The Edge” radio station?

  38. Michael Says:

Didn’t have a chance to hear Ron almightys sermon today as I was WORKING. Can you guys fill me in if he has hinted to or actually resinded his April 17 sentence?

  39. WeinlandWatch Says:

I’ll check the file again, but I think it was a local (Cincinnati) station; something-N-A-L I think??

  40. WeinlandWatch Says:

Ugh—-the kiddies are “awesomely blessed” because they have to be subjected to those Children’s Bible Stories. What’s next YES Lessons?!?!?!

  41. CallieMae Says:

    WW,

Was that station one that he had gone on before and gave dates, places, etc?

  42. kurt Says:

    an ode to Weinland;

though in a mighty way he smacked his lips and raised his voice… fewer were listening.

and though it truly is an amazing thing, no matter how much and long and much and did i say long? he preached… what really is truly amazing, was how few were listening.

and in the end, when john g said this is my last blog, because blogging has not been bringing in cash for ron and my butt has been canned,

in the silence, echoes of ron… what an amazing thing is the mind that thinks… for itself….amazing….gonna have to move on here…

  43. 2008Grad Says:

    WW:

I forgot about the YES lessons! Ha!

  44. CallieMae Says:

    Kurt,

I know… that is so funny.

  45. WeinlandWatch Says:

35:40-36:49 RW Sermon April 5 “The First Passover”

“I want to mention that Laura and I plan on staying in the Cincinnati area for the coming sabbath as well this week. Uh we’re trying to uh get fully recuperated with[unclear] to travel so we’re not as worn out as we leave for Israel. Because next Sunday we’re leaving for Israel. Uh we’ll be in Jerusalem from the 17th to 21st. We will be in Israel for a little bit longer. We’ll get there a little bit earlier than that.

“I thought I’d also mention here today that there are a few people mocking this trip. Like that came as a surprise. Uh some were posting blogs and various comments. I’d like to encourage everyone to use wisdom uh don’t give such people the time of day. It’s kind of like some emails we receive. When we get certain kinds of emails where people want to give their opinion their idea delete delete delete. We’re not going to give them a response. Ah, there have been times when some have gotten a response. But as a whole from now on they’re just getting deleted. [snickers]

“So uh sometimes I just wanna encourage you to consider as well you wouldn’t do this in your home remember that when you have a computer and you’re able to bring something into your home be cautious. Sometimes uh you may be entertaining demons. OK? So don’t don’t give them the time of day.”

Still looking for that mention of which show he’s going to be on, but I couldn’t pass up posting that one.

  46. 2008Grad Says:

    CallieMae,

    Ditto!
Kurt made me laugh out loud and almost choke on a french fry!

Poor old John G just couldn’t seem to convert us all to the ways of Weenie!

I sort of think that John G is old Ronnie Weenie!!!!!

  47. WeinlandWatch Says:

37:00-37:33 RW Sermon April 5 “The First Passover”

“I thought I’d also mention here Tuesday here in Cincinnati Tuesday morning, Mike McConnell(sp?) Show uh 700AM WLW here in Cincinnati I’m going to have another interview with them. This will be a little bit longer than the previous one. Evidently I didn’t realize I heard them talking about it this week on his show uh basically he’s saying something to the effect that all these things aren’t happening so you know now we’re gonna get him on here and he can rake me over the coals right? Well he’s in for a little bit of a surprise. But anyway.

  48. 2008Grad Says:

    WW:

That was amazingly hilarious! Thanks for sharing that!

Of course he doesn’t want his sheeple to pay heed to us. They might get the wool yanked off their eyes and then stop tithing! Then how will old Ronnie pay for his trips around the world?

That post is proof in itself that someone with such poor speaking skills would, in no way, be chosen as the spokesperson for the “two witnesses.”

I wonder how battered his wife is to go along with all this hogwash???

  49. 2008Grad Says:

    WW:

Ronnie Weenie is like Herbie. He pretends that his interview are REAL interview when, in reality, they are paid advertisements!!!

Thanks for sharing the transcripts! Reading them is better than reading a comic strip! :-D

  50. Firestorm Says:

It’s strange that he does not even know what the hail and fire mixed with blood is…. Here refers to it as this ‘THING.’
Nothing new is revealed about it…but at least it will be a physical thing…(unless this thing will be a spiritual thing.)
Anyone else know what he means by thing?
Does he mean this ‘thing?’ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thing_(comics)

  51. WeinlandWatch Says:

Ugh. I don’t want to think about his poor wife. :-(

  52. Firestorm Says:

Include the brackets with the link above..

  53. Michael Says:

Excellent, McConnell will shred him. If you haven’t heard McConnell, he will get on your nerves, but he is the closest thing to Spock we have. ( logical and critical thinker )

  54. CallieMae Says:

Its prob just a “spirit-chu-ulll” thang!!!

  55. WeinlandWatch Says:

Yeah if I get up the nerve (and if WT doesn’t beat me to it) I might go through the whole thing tomorrow and pick out some more choice bits.

    But remember people!

“Why would anyone want to use anyone in Judaism as an authority in Hebrew?”

  56. 2008Grad Says:

    Firestorm: U so funny!

    Calliemae: Yes! spirit-chu-ulll thang!

This dude can’t even explain what he means in plain language. He wants to use the terms spiritual and prophetic to fill in the void due to his lack of an extended vocab.

    He needs a thesaurus!

  57. pastor porter Says:

WW admittedly I have not read all of the books. I have just red a couple of stories in them but what I read seemed ok. I will look over them in more detail.

  58. Michael Says:

I think I know what really happened to RW. When he wen’t to see the Wizard of Oz in 1939, he fell asleep before Dorothy pulled the curtain open towards the end. Now, many years later, he is living out the movie and sees all of us as the flying monkeys.

  59. 2008Grad Says:

    Michael:

    Hello! :-)

How does one find this radio station? I wanna hear Spoke rake Weenie over the coals.

Is this a paid advertisement-type show?

  60. 2008Grad Says:

    I mean Spock! Ha! :-P

  61. CallieMae Says:

    WW,

?Why would anyone want to use anyone in Judaism as an authority in Hebrew??

I guess RW thinks he is an authority in Hebrew because he went to AC!!

  62. Michael Says:

    2008Grad,
    700wlw.com click listen.

  63. CallieMae Says:

    WW,

How long does it usually take for RW to post his sermon on his Church’s site?

  64. 2008Grad Says:

    Michael:

    Hahahahahahaaaaa! :-P

    Flying Monkeys! So funny!!!!!! :-)

  65. 2008Grad Says:

    Pastor Porter:

Do the kids a favor and go to the nearest Christian bookstore and get some decent books for them.

There are excellent selections for kids nowadays.

  66. WeinlandWatch Says:

    Michael:

“Excellent, McConnell will shred him. If you haven’t heard McConnell, he will get on your nerves, but he is the closest thing to Spock we have.”

WhooooHOOOOOO! That is good news! :-)

  67. CallieMae Says:

I wonder if he will put that interview on his Church’s site?

  68. WeinlandWatch Says:

    CallieMae:

Have no fear! The sermon of the day is here!

Although I will note that Weinland did manage to get last week’s sermon up pretty fast……

I too look forward to hearing Spock rake Weinie over the coals! :-D

  69. 2008Grad Says:

    WW:
I went to the link and read “Entertaining Demons”.

    Ronnie Weenie turns my stomach:
“Why Christmas is so off the wall and Easter is so off the wall and the trinity is so [mocking voice] weird and stupid and foolish! And why Sunday is so asinine!

He’s only hurting himself by mocking the Holy Trinity…well, himself and all his sheeple.

Good things we “wolves” are hear to warn his sheeple.

  70. CallieMae Says:

    WW,

    THANKS!!!! You ROCK!!!

  71. Michael Says:

CallieMae, Thank you. Everyday you people give me a spritual awakening. God is speaking to RW in hebrew and going a little to fast for him to get the messages just right. For those of you that are getting a little tired of my cracks on Ron. I apologize. I am still a little young, and have a tough time letting things roll off my shoulders. (I still don’t buy the whole landing on the moon thing either.) How could I grasp a concept that completely defies the scripture I grew up reading. King James through the 70’s and 80’s, New International with Hebrew word definition foot notes since. Maybe I’d give the guy a pass if he didn’t sound like a copy of a copy of a copy of Armstrong. We all know how that ended up.

  72. 2008Grad Says:

    CallieMae:

You are right! He went to AC! What was I thinking! He’s one of the “chosen” after all! :-P

  73. CallieMae Says:

    Michael,

    Right On!!

  74. 2008Grad Says:

    Michael:

I’m not tired of your cracks on Ron! :-)

You mention the 70’s and 80’s…you and I must be in the same generation.

  75. Michael Says:

All of RWs interviews can be heard straight from his own site. He even had the audacity to explain each of his interviews. Would a true profit (get it, profit??) need to review their interviews or sermons? Nope, I don’t think so.

  76. WeinlandWatch Says:

Eh, well, I’m not a trinitarian myself so that part really doesn’t faze me. Weinie seems to equal-opportunity bash Judaism and protestantism, often in the same breath. I think he said something about the Jewish rabbis being just as bad as the Catholics but I really really really have had enough of it and don’t want to go through and find that quote again.

Michael, crack away on Rotten Ron, that is what we have been doing here from page one! Just ask Ironwolf! :-)

Your assessment of Weinland being “a copy of a copy of a copy” is more accurate than you know. Anyone else think Weinland is suffering from too many duplication errors at this point? Signal-to-noise much? Huh?

    Only me then? Right.

  77. 2008Grad Says:

    WW:

Still perusing your site. Excellent, by the way!

    Ronnie Weenie says:

35:30: [Weinland claims that the] “enemy is scared, they’re scared…it’s in their writing. It’s in their words…what are they going to do? God is putting fear in them.”

I’m really not experiencing any fear right now…any one else? NO… I didn’t think so…

  78. waytenceewatch Says:

  79. 2008Grad Says:

    WW:

Yes, the condemnation of other religions is classic WWCG.

Of course, the PROFIT himself knows more than a rabbi! He probably even thinks he knows more than Jesus!

Incredible… (in Ronnie’s own words! Ha! Get it?)

  80. CallieMae Says:

    Michael,

Just like I remember from years ago in WCG. “This is what it says….but this is what it really means”. Meaning, don’t think for yourself.

  81. waytenceewatch Says:

whoa sorry for my wasted post i didnt notice the link ww put up thanx

  82. 2008Grad Says:

I bet old Ronnie Weenie is online right at this moment reading our posts and steaming!!!!

His sermons prove that he doesn’t spend hours of preparations pouring over the bible in study. No. His sermons prove that he spends hours pouring over blogs and discussion boards.

    It’s really hilarious…and in a way…pathetic

  83. kurt Says:

there they were on the hill, the few, ready to lead the charge! gathered they were, ready for this battle.

to overwhelm and concur, to win the day. let us pray.

let us pray, let us pray. and let us pray. the horse be not shy of a single nail. this coffin needs a tight seal. let us pray, and charge down the hill

  84. Michael Says:

    2008Grad,
Yeah. My first thought on the topics we are discussing happened when I was only 5. I was lying awake and for whatever reason, I began to think about what happens to people when they get old. When I got up and asked my parents “Mom, Dad, whats going to happen to me when I grow old?” My Dad said, “You die, and they put you in a box and cover you up with dirt.” All my mom could muster was, don’t worry about that, it won’t happen for a long time. I didn’t want to die and go into a box and have dirt thrown on me.
And, I don’t think that anyone else does either. That is why we kling to people like Amstrong, Weinland, Roberts, etc. (Especially young people that don’t know any better, and older people that want to believe that they might get another shot at this life thing. I can only hope that when I grow old that I can say that I have lived enough days to grow proud of the family of 7 that I have started in a world where a family of 5 is almost shunned and die in peace without worry of their well being.
However, when you grow older and learn as much as you can about the world around us, the more sceptic you become about anything you hear.

  85. 2008Grad Says:

    Michael,

That is the way I used to feel about death. Nothing but lying under the dirt. No consciousness. Just dark and cold…alone…that’s what WWCG taught.

But, now I believe in life after death. Although, death is still a dread, I know I will see my Daddy, who went ahead of us five years ago, in heaven. And that makes it a little less fearsome.

  88. 2008Grad Says:

Guys, please forgive me, but I can’t help myself.

I found this on youtube. I remember when this was aired at the feast. We were in Big Sandy.

  89. kurt Says:

and not a single toe of us was caught, of the foe we know not, for though we we heard screams of fear and much gnashing of teeth, and smacking of lips, and again much more of that…smacking of lips… they were as though they never were…

if i could return the families to the way they were…. we can only pray, and those atheists, also pray, we pray it can be done…. forgive me

  90. CallieMae Says:

It gets on my nerves when people smack……….

  91. kurt Says:

we want so much to celebrate victory, when will that be?

  92. kurt Says:

okay, not vicktory, but rather a battle won. a turn of the tide?

  93. kurt Says:

the war will never end with family still with them

  94. Michael Says:

What is really unfortunate about the whole issue around RW and this blog is that the next wave ofgreedy SAPs with half a brain are going to learn from all of the flaws in RW that we have pointed out in order to be more convincing in their attempts to swindle another wave of individuals out of their earnings. I can only hope there are legal ramnifications that force RW to give back his earnings from his lies. (If he is found competant to stand trial)

  95. 2008Grad Says:

Yes, people who smack have no manners.

The war will end when everyone sees Ronnie as the false prophet that we all know he is!

  96. Michael Says:

Can somebody enlighten me? When will RW be able to start rocking the boat as he sees fit? Is that the 17th or another of his not revealed yet items?

  97. WeinlandWatch Says:

Greetings Friends! (OK bad way to open)

I present to you this latest GIFT because GOD’S WAY is the WAY OF GIVE not GET.

    Ronald Weinland Drinking Game.

With that I bid good night to all and to all a good night!

  98. 2008Grad Says:

Well…really…he won’t be able to rock the boat.

But, he says that the trumpets are now spiritual and prophetic…and that they “begin” to blow on those days and continue to grown in strength (consequences).

Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, isn’t it?

  99. 2008Grad Says:

    Good night, WW!

    I’m turning in also! :-)

  100. WeinlandWatch Says:

Heh I’m just turning off the computer. Taking the red pill yanno. :-)

  101. 2008Grad Says:

Im thinking that it is Yellowstone…

“Scientist have discovered that the ground in Yellowstone if 74cm higher than in was in 1923 - indicating a massive swelling underneath the park. The reservoir is filling with magma at an alarming rate. The volcano erupts with a near-clockwork cycle of every 600,000 years. The last eruption was more than 640,000 years ago - we are overdue for annihilation.”

  103. Banncam Says:

I just logged on to catch up with reading. I hadn’t intended on posting anything. I had decided I needed a break because of the idiot remarks of John G and Jay29….

But I read tonight where John G said this: “So lucky for you, I will not be posting anymore - there’s nothing left for me to accomplish here anyways.”

I say, GOOD RIDDENCE!!! For someone who criticized us for supposedly having an agenda…. HE admits to having one himself… he has nothing left to accomplish….

Anyway, I Believe John G is a member of RW church anyway. He specifically said something that my sib said to me on the phone the other day. A very specific statement that is a talking point of the membership. So….gang… I am convinced John is a member. He is probably reporting to RW on our blog….

    ha ha ha ha

Also, the way John G spoke about how growing up in COG couldn’t have been that bad….that damaging…. it is all defending it…WAY too much…

  104. Magisto Says:

    You think weinland reads this??
So he might even be posting…
    He might even be YOU!

    ;)

  105. waytenceewatch Says:

“What you just prayed for the death of Brooklyn?”
lol no, i prayed, and then saw that, and i live in brooklyn…and why would i need to read a post about a sermons BEFORE i hear the sermon itself…i want the primary source first, if anything it’d help me discern what’s truthful or dishonest in the secondary….i’m not in pkg, RW isn’t going to make me or convince me to do anything i don’t feel is right, but i have an open mind and seeing as how i dont sit and listen for lies or slipups there are interesting ideas and concepts about god he brings up which are thought provoking whether he’s a prophet or not.

  106. Banncam Says:

Nope Grad2008, I’m not even a little scared!

I worry for my family who are following Ronnie Weenie!

I think he does read this blog… It is INFECTIOUS after all!!

    ha ha ha
    :-)

  107. Banncam Says:

    CallieMae,
RW’s voice…his attitude when he talks… it is SO UGLY….
it gets on my nerves too, but I like to listen because then I know what my family are listening to.

  108. waytenceewatch Says:

btw the link to the file isn’t working??? whats up with that?

  109. Magisto Says:

Well, if I were in his shoes I would be reading everything people are saying about me…or at least try to. And then somehow work that into the sermons.

It would be nice to ask him direct questions though; he is a witness afterall so why not let people ask questions?! He needs a blog…

  110. waytenceewatch Says:

does anyone else have a quick link to dl the days sermon so i can listen before i sleep????

  120. Richard_Saunders Says:

    CallieMae,

“I guess RW thinks he is an authority in Hebrew because he went to AC!!”

That may indeed factor in. He believes one becomes qualified to be a minister’s job because one has attended AC. I think that is as close to foolish as you can get without going over. But if you want my opinion, it’s is not so grand as all that. I think he believes he’s an authority both in Hebrew and Greek (though he hasn’t mentioned Greek yet) because…

    he’s got a Strong’s Concordance.

One of the main rules o Bible study goes something like this: “Don’t think you’re an authority in Hebrew because you own a Strong’s Concordance.”

  121. pastor porter Says:

For all those who belabor the loss of all the money to RW it is not a fraction compared to what Joel Olsteen(sorry for the spelling) or Jimmy Swaggert or PTL or any number of others take each week. People give or are made guilty if they do not give and this happens in almost organized groups. There is no way to recover what is gone. How many mega monster buildings or great works does it take to get God’s attention? The sheep will always be sheared because they want to be sheared. People are scared sheep and will follow whom ever they think has an answer, be it RW or someone else. Only if RW is proven to be a false prophet by GREAT overwhelming evidence will the people not follow him. If he is proven false then the people will go looking for the next end time witness. RW gets credibility because he says he wants it. so does almost every other empire builder. People will follow because they want someone to take charge, and that someone can be anyone.

  122. Ironwolf Says:

Jay29 and anyone else who cares,

After a thorough examination of my records, I have come to the conclusion that Weinland Watch has never engaged in sockpuppeting on this blog. Unless someone can bring me strong evidence of such, I will consider any accusations against WW themselves as ban-worthy behavior.

  123. Ironwolf Says:

    Fred,

People will follow because they want someone to take charge, and that someone can be anyone.

Sadly, that’s something we can agree on.

  124. Banncam Says:

Pastor said: “People give or are made guilty if they do not give and this happens in almost organized groups”

You are correct. There are a few distinctions that you must also acknowledge. These other churches do put a certain amount of guilt on you…sort of like pressure from a door to door salesman. But it ends if you are tough enough to simply say no…and move on.

In WCG it was more than a guilt trip… If you didn’t tithe, the pastor knew it, because they checked with headquarters. If you didn’t keep the 2nd tithe, it was also obvious if you couldn’t “live it up” for 8 days like everyone else. It was spoken as a “command” from God, therefore, if you didn’t OBEY GOD….you were in rebellion.

What WCG did was WAY BEYOND what these other churches do. I doubt you’ve attended any “outside” or “worldly” churches enough to know the difference. I’ve been “out” attending MANY different churches for years now. The difference is MAJOR!

Another thing. I know for a FACT that this type of thing is still going on in LCG. I have family there….they check up on 1st, 2nd & 3rd tithing with “headquarters” and if you pass inspection…you may be ordained…IF you don’t pass muster…YOU don’t get ordained.

Anyone who thinks COG splinters fits right up there with “Joel” or “CBN” or whatever….are fooling themselves.

COG & splinters are cults based on “revealed” information given to their “leaders” much of it not provable in scripture.

IN order to believe those teachings YOU MUST FIRST BELIEVE IN THE MESSENGER…. just like with Joseph Smith…. YOU must believe in HIM before believing what was revealed to him.

  125. Todaysfate Says:

IN order to believe those teachings YOU MUST FIRST BELIEVE IN THE MESSENGER…. just like with Joseph Smith…. YOU must believe in HIM before believing what was revealed to him.

Unfortunatley … Satan can decieve you whether you believe in him or not.

  126. waytenceewatch Says:

:( the link to the sermon is still not working for me, i can’t even access the main hotlinkfiles site does anyone have a copy of the sermon they can send to me??

  127. Jon Says:

    Todaysfate,

Unfortunatley … Satan can decieve you whether you believe in him or not.

Yes, and apparently he’s fond of walking snakes and, now, God isn’t (Genesis) despite creating snakes and knowing the poor thing had no choice in the matter.

He can also knock knock knock on heaven’s door and god answers (Job) despite not being able to tolerate sin (a big problem for an omniscient deity.)

And he has magical mind-control powers given TO him by a loving god who wants nothing for than for his children to know him yet ensures that only a select ‘few’ will ever manage to pull it off, often despite best efforts to do so.

I’ll be converting back now. Sounds too good to pass up.

    No. Wait.

What if “Jesus” was a deception created by Satan to woo us away from Judaism?

Would you care to explain how billions of devout Jews, who wholeheartedly accept God’s own Levitical law and, based on their understanding of that law, rejects Christ as their soon-to-be appearing (no, really) Messiah, could not make this same silly argument in favor of ‘their’ God as well?

Ironically, the same God you worship?

    Rampant. Confusion.

For more on confusion, see 1 Corinthians 14:33Open Link in New Window.

Or, don’t. And chalk this post up to a deception created by Satan.

    Or was it?

  128. waytenceewatch Says:

Satan doesn’t have mind control…he uses lies and our desires to attempt to sway us towards doing the wrong things…he doesn’t MAKE anyone sin…its like a womanizer who convinces women he’s a good guy and they should have relations with him, he doesn’t rape them so he doesn’t force them into it, but he lies to them and sweet talks them into it, in the end the woman is responsible for who she lays with…

  129. Jon Says:

Satan doesn’t have mind control…he uses lies and our desires to attempt to sway us towards doing the wrong things…he doesn’t MAKE anyone sin…

Yes, Biblically speaking Satan does not have “mind control.” The word play was light-hearted and intentional, but we do now have a starting point for reason.

Biblically, Satan is given the power of illusion and deception. One could therefore state accurately that while Satan cannot control our “actions”, he can control and manipulate how we see the world. This is clear in this passage: Luke 4:5Open Link in New Window.

Unless you care to state that Satan did not show Jesus “all” the kingdoms of the earth — a feat that would clearly involve visual deception, as such a thing is not possible — you must concede that your belief in Satan necessitates the belief in a being that can manipulate our senses.

So, “mind manipulation” may be the better wording.

    Let’s continue.

Using your definition, Satan plays off of our “desires.” Therefore, you are categorically stating that when Satan tempted Christ, Christ had within him the desire to…

    1. Eat. That I can believe. However, there was also a plea to his power to create and rearrange matter (rocks to bread.) Therefore, Christ secretly harbored a desire to rearrange matter.

    2. Fly. This one is just plain silly. Remember, Satan can only lie to us and our desires. He therefore would be foolish to tempt someone with a desire he or she did not have. For example, it would hardly be a temptation for me to produce Brad Pitt nude and say, “Here…take him!” I am not gay, therefore the desire is absent.

Angelena perhaps, but that’s another story.

So, we now must believe that Christ secretly desired to fly.

    3. Rule. Now we learn that Christ apparently had a desire to rule the nations of the earth. You will say, “He does! When he returns!” Ah, but that is only within the “New Jerusalem”, not the old. Jesus had no desire to be a literal ruler of the then-present cities of the earth, which is clear throughout the New Testament — unless of course we accept your definition of Satanic power and that desire was actually present.

Finally, let’s say Christ ‘had’ these desires, as he was fully human as well, but did not act on them. That was “the test”.

Bravo — he just violated his own standard of God’s perfect law as laid down in Matthew 5:38-48Open Link in New Window, which dictates that the ‘desire’ of anything sinful is no better or worse than the act itself.

So, ipso-facto, Christ was a sinner.

Also, a careful reading of the passage: “A few days later the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan” reveals a God who willfully places sin at our footsteps.

One has to wonder about a god who says “sin is death” and then puts his only son right square in its path — intentionally.

A test perhaps, ala Abraham? Why “test” anyone if you’re omniscient? This makes absolutely no sense. The one tempted would either pass or fail, and that knowledge would already be clear to God before it occurred.

And, since Jesus claimed to be God, God (the father) would in essence have been testing himself. It is a foregone conclusion that Jesus would have passed this test and gained nothing from the experience, as a perfect being cannot change nor grow. This is supported by numerous scriptures, most notably “God is the same; yesterday, today and tomorrow.”

Welcome to the mud that is the theology of the Bible. Now you know why I left the profession and the faith.

  130. Todaysfate Says:

What if “Jesus” was a deception created by Satan to woo us away from Judaism?

That may be an absolute possibility … I’m not saying it isn’t.

The thing Jon … is that I believe there is evidence in “creation”… yep … that’s right … inteligent design” That is what drives my “faith”…. as far as everything else…. I am simply going on my my gut feeling. Ron W could be right, YOU could be right …. I’m not saying I presume to know. I just think.

It does NOT mean I am sitting here waiting for God to come and prove to me I am right.

But I will tell you this … RON W. does not destroy or damage my faith … and I will tell you why in a minute.

Personally … I feel that if you were so inclined … it might be easier to prove “Satan” exists that it would be to prove God does.

  131. WeinlandWatch Says:

  132. Todaysfate Says:

A test perhaps, ala Abraham? Why “test” anyone if you’re omniscient? This makes absolutely no sense.

Well…. clearly God may have a “weekness” and it has to do with his ability to “control” us. We are after all … in “his” image. Perhaps is simply a “respect” thing.

Gnostic thinking much there Jon? ;-) I like the idea of the divine fire theology that gnosticism promotes, but the whole Demiurge/archons thing just leaves me cold. I can’t figure out of it’s legalism for catholics or catholicism for legalists.

  135. pastor porter Says:

Banncam I was brought up in so many different churches. I was presbyterian, baptist, methodist, assembly of God, church of Christ, and attended LDS. I even visited pentecostal. so do not tell me I don’t know about other churches. I saw hypocrisy in all of them. It wasn’t until I took 6 months with a Bible and a Strong’s and proved what I believed, that I am where now. That may be why we are different from so many of the other COG’s. I don’t know but you can’t lump all COG’s into the same lump.

  136. Jon Says:

    Hi Todaysfate,

Thank you for the honesty and stating why you believe. I understand the pull to ID, but I equally understand (and accept) the flaws in the argument. That being said, as I have made clear throughout my posts, I do not believe one can prove “god” or “satan” or “mithras” or “horus” or any other specific supernatural entity. One can only critique the reasoning presented for each.

In our case, we have the Bible. If the Bible proves to be unreasonable (saying something patently false, historically flawed, or self-contradictory), we must acknowledge that the specific professions detailing any deity “in” the bible is, at best highly suspect. At worst, a complete myth.

And, no matter the conclusion, unreasonable by definition.

You are more than welcome to your faith, of course. I hope (sincerely) that it brings you and all those you make contact with peace, love and mercy. When faith brings the opposite, that is where reason must step in. Otherwise we have events like the Crusades, the Inquisition, and 9/11 happening all over again.

Finally, you (nor I) can prove the existence of Satan. It is equally impossible to prove the existence (or non-existence) of gremlins. All evidence for either must be weighed against known, verifiable data prior to assumption. The evidence for Satan is, of course, nonexistent without philosophical constructs, such as “Evil exists, therefore Satan exists.” This is a logical fallacy based on prior assumption that evil must have a source outside of ethical reason and naturalism…and that “evil” exists as an entity as opposed to subjective moral standards.

For what it’s worth, I’m a glad that loonies like Ron W. will not take away something you hold dear. I only hope that you embrace the greater virtues of your belief and not some of the horrors that can piggyback along with it.

  137. pastor porter Says:

Jon I would like ot test your biblical knowledge, but it would better be served on the other blog. I believe this more for RW than our philosophical discussion of is it reasonable to believe in God.

“I’m not sure who’s in error, or if they’re talking about someone else, but 700WLW’s schedule seems to indicate Ron’s interview with Mike McConnell is going to be Monday, not Tuesday, as indicated in the sermon.”

    Programming:

    MONDAY, APRIL 7th

    9AM-11:30 MIDDAY WITH MIKE McCONNELL

In March of 2007– Mike spoke to a local man who predicted the end of the world. That man’s back to explain why we’re all still here.

Ronnie’s gonna get his butt handed to him on a platter! And yet Weinland had the balls to say “Well he’s[McConnell] in for a little bit of a surprise.”

Wonder what that “surprise” is going to be? Does Weinland actually think he’s going to breathe fire on McConnell and “Spock” is gonna go up like a firecracker on the fourth of July?? Think any of the Cincinnati-area elders have “orders” for McConnell between now and Monday morning??

Or more likely hypothesis: Weinland really is nuts. :-(

  139. Jon Says:

Gnostic thinking much there Jon? I like the idea of the divine fire theology that gnosticism promotes, but the whole Demiurge/archons thing just leaves me cold. I can’t figure out of it’s legalism for catholics or catholicism for legalists.

Nah, just presenting an equally valid alternative in an invalid argument. : )

The Gnostic Gospels are interesting reading, though. At least from a cultural perspective.

My post did not outline a possible belief as much as the improbability of the original postulate.

  140. Todaysfate Says:

YOU must believe in HIM before believing what was revealed to him.

This seems to be a running theme here amongst the people who have pre-determined that certain things are NOT going to happen in the future.

I would like to point out that unless you think its all false … the ACTUAL prohets of the Bible did not even need to believe in themselves… they just needed to believe in God.

Exodus 5:22Open Link in New Window - Moses returned to the LORD and said, “O Lord, why have you brought trouble upon this people? Is this why you sent me?

Exodus 5:23Open Link in New Window - Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble upon this people, and you have not rescued your people at all

Exodus 6:12Open Link in New Window - But Moses said to the LORD, “If the Israelites will not listen to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips

This is fundementally why I don’t believe Ron W’s “credentials”, “attrocities” or “good works (which seem few based on what i’ve learned here about COG) dictate whether or not he is false or not. Its just not a valid argument. In fact … no one here has doubted Ron Ws belief in “God”.

Personally … if there is no God … I am quite thankfull that a crazy old man went up to the hill, talked himself … and came down with a few good ideas for decent living (The Commandments) … In fact … maybe if we could agree on this … we could start posting them in courthouses again.

  141. 2008Grad Says:

Weenie may very well be a “cracked nut.”

He seems to exhibit some schizophrenic behavior.

Recently, the History Channel had a show about Hitler. It seems that Hitler was so crazy because he suffered from advanced, incurable syphilis. Perhaps this is the case with Ronnie Weenie???

  142. Marie Says:

What’s with the ‘Abraham test’ comment? Have you considered that God maybe was not testing Abraham for a pass or fail - but that God was working with Abraham in a way that Abraham could understand? In so doing, proving to Abraham that God was, indeed who he said he was - capable of taking care of his son. This event happened after Abraham had pretty much messed up and had another son by his wife’s servant.

Where do you get that tests are pass or fail for humans? Testing doesn’t always equate to a pass or fail grade - but - a tool to let you or others know where you are in progress. Testing is not a bad thing or something to get slammed by. I think most schools on every level have testing for good reasons. A lot of times it is so the educators make sure that their students are understanding the material presented.

Personally I wouldn’t want to have a surgeon do surgery on me who had not been well tested that he knows what he is doing.

  143. 2008Grad Says:

    Todaysfate:

We know he is wrong because WE have “been there, done that” and the world is still going on.

Those of us who have lived the COG experience see right through his facade.

We are not impressed with his mental disorder. We are not impressed with what he is doing to his weak-minded, uneducated followers

  144. Jon Says:

    PastorPorter said:

Jon I would like ot test your biblical knowledge, but it would better be served on the other blog. I believe this more for RW than our philosophical discussion of is it reasonable to believe in God.

Agreed, PP. I’m not sure how this even got started. : )

Feel free to test away over at the Flood entry.

While I do hold degrees in theology (masters) and philosophy, I do not profess to be the end-all, be-all biblical expert, as no such person exists. I do, however, routinely challenge scholars, pastors, ministers, etc. to epistemological debate and hermeneutical analysis, as well as rational discourse on the topics covered in scripture.

A fatal flaw in the argument presented from “most” theological experts is the very bias of the theologian. He or she begins with a premise and work backwards. This is not a reasonable way to approach the pursuit of truth on ‘any’ level or in any subject. I know very few who worked their way through scripture with the assumption that this was ‘not’ God’s word and sought, only using the text itself, to see if these claims were reasonable.

So, I submit that we must first agree to the ideas and principles of reason, otherwise this will stalemate into “I don’t know, God did it somehow.” My humorous but legitimate “penguin question” was proposed as a simple starting point for this line of reasoning, as were my two Principles. Feel free to read over them on the Flood blog.

Unless, of course, you wish to counter some of the historical inaccuracies mentioned. That’s a bit more tedious, but I’m open to it as time allows.

    Thanks!

    Jon

  145. Jon Says:

    All,

This is the last post on this thread for me, as PastorPorter has correctly pointed out, the subject is off-topic — at least a bit.

It got started with the presumption that Satan is deceiving believers and drifted into the quagmire.

If you like, you can join me here for these discussions, although we will quickly categorize the topics as not to confuse ‘that’ blog either.

    Thanks all.

So is anyone going to help me out recording Ron’s interview live?

No confirmation yet from the radio station regarding when, but there’s a chance I’d miss it either day, so if someone out there could try to record the unedited version for the collective, I’m sure we’d all be appreciative.

  149. waytenceewatch Says:

can anyone email me the sermon directly?

  150. Jon Says:

Jon while I may not have the credentials that you have in the normal sense that I have never been to seminary. I went to the blog on is it reasonable to believe in a creator, and made a post. That is where I would like to take this.

No worries, PP. I do not believe seminary is necessary for an understanding of biblical errancy, although it comes in handy when you have to get ultra-creative to explain them away. ; )

    See you here.

    Jon

P.S. Sorry for the follow-up all, but I wanted to be sure PP was replied to.

And now back to your regularly-scheduled program, Countdown To Armageddon MCXXIV: This Time, I REALLY Mean It!

  151. Felicia Says:

    Question?
Has anyone considered that RW will use the problem in Texas by weaving it somehow into his predictions? I wouldn’t be surprised especially now that he can point to something that is not “spiritual” or about the plants and animals.
Would like to read your thoughts.

  152. 2008Grad Says:

    Felicia:

What are you referring to by “the problem in Texas”?

  153. Todaysfate Says:

We know he is wrong because WE have “been there, done that” and the world is still going on.

You mean you guess … assume … or “reason” this … but you do not KNOW anymore than you claim Ron W to. This doesn’t change that the world is definately going thru changes that no has been to or done.

Those of us who have lived the COG experience see right through his facade.

Yes …. so much so that you you forget the Bible says these things will happen. It doesn’t matter that some crazy “cult” churches presented it in a bad manner for the last 2000 years.

And many of us, including myself and my siblings, knew old Ronnie Weenie years ago and stayed at his house during YOU trips.

Until you can come up with some proof other than your personal experience with “armstronism” … that overall … the world, life, and humanity is just hunkydory … I will continue to believe things are bad, getting worse, and not because of the crueltys of some cult I didn’t even know about until 3 months ago but simply because they ARE.

We are not impressed with his mental disorder. We are not impressed with what he is doing to his weak-minded, uneducated followers

I can agree with you there … I am not really impressed neither … But I am not really impressed with what I am being told to “assume”, because of it.

There are alot of reasons… alot of proof… and alot of other spiritual groups and rational people who believe there are signs as well that the lord is coming. And we don’t need some cartoon drawing of people suffering to imagine what it may be like for those who need to be “impressed” in order to believe it.

  154. Ekimks Says:

    Renton:
I’m going to try to record it myself.

Anyone else with the capability should also try, because I could have a technical failure, a power failure, or simply forget to start the recording tomorrow morning.

  155. Todaysfate Says:

Has anyone considered that RW will use the problem in Texas by weaving it somehow into his predictions?

Ron W weaving it into his predictions or not has no bearing on what it actually is. What do you think it is?

  156. WeinlandWatch Says:

I’m working my sources Ekimks. Barring that, I’m going to see if I can record it myself…..although that seems doubtful. Email me at weinlandwatch@gmail.com if you do manage to get it recorded please. Same for everyone else. Thanks.

  157. JustSmith Says:

Well it’s getting down to the wire. Let me know when has proven himself.

  158. Todaysfate Says:

In March of 2007– Mike spoke to a local man who predicted the end of the world. That man’s back to explain why we’re all still here.

Ronnie’s gonna get his butt handed to him on a platter! And yet Weinland had the balls to say “Well he’s[McConnell] in for a little bit of a surprise.”

Now thats some good news… there may be some real proof that Ron is crazy after tomorrow. By his own prophesy … Ron really “can’t” do anything “surprising” enough before 4/17. No matter how bad he may want to. … or how bad we demand it.

  159. Banncam Says:

Pastor said, “I don’t know but you can’t lump all COG’s into the same lump.”

I only lump COG who believe in the ‘revealed’ truth of HWA….

If you believe in the revealed truth that HWA taught…YOU MUST have believed in HWA…who was a false prophet.

I’m speaking of the stuff that was only revealed to him…it is the same principal of things revealed ONLY to Pat Robertson, Joseph Smith, Oral Roberts… you understand my meaning…

Yeah, I’m sure you found pleanty of hypocrisy in the churches/religions you mentioned. They are everywhere even in COG, because all churches are full of men

  160. 2008Grad Says:

    Todaysfate:
Your rebuttal of my comment only PROVES that you have no idea of what I am talking about.

We ACTUALLY know Ronnie Weenie!!! Not just ABOUT him or OF him because of “Armstrongism”. We KNOW him PERSONALLY!

Also, I would like for you to PROVE that I don’t believe that all things will come to pass as the Bible states in Revelation.

The only ASSUMPTIONS being made in this debate is that YOU ASSUME to know what I believe.

    Your ASSUMPTIONS are wrong.

    You much attend COG-PGK.

  161. WeinlandWatch Says:

Last-minute update: Looks like I’m not going to be home in time to record the Mike McConnell show. Anyone else who is doing so (Anyone else besides Ekimks at this point?) please email me the file at weinlandwatch@gmail.com. Many thanks!

  162. 2008Grad Says:

    Correction: You must attend COP-PGK

  163. renton Says:

I’m out of the recording circle —

I tried the Listen Live link and it says that “due to licensing restrictions we can not comply with your request at this time.”

I’m in Canada, so it could just be the football game right now.

    Hope not :(

  164. kurt Says:

As far as listening to Ron’s interview with Mike McConnell tomorrow, can’t we just get it here?

    Felicia said:

Has anyone considered that RW will use the problem in Texas by weaving it somehow into his predictions?

Considering I unfortunately live here, you have me really curious. There are no “problems in Texas”, other than the fact it’s 74 degrees and sunny today and I’m stuck inside writing about some loon with a martyr complex.

Now ‘that’ is a problem in Texas.

  166. kurt Says:

Didn’t they raid a Mormon splinter cult complex is Texas today?

  167. WeinlandWatch Says:

    Kurt:

Looks like the podcasts include commercials, etc., so it’s likely the interview won’t be cut or edited….Looks like it’s updated daily too.

However just in case, I would also like a “live” recording if possible. Thanks!

    Jon:

I’m suffering the same problem here in
    Texas!

  170. WeinlandWatch Says:

McConnell RSS Feed. Looks like it’s one day behind (so the interview might go up on the podcast on Tuesday). Looks like we can save the files as well.

Just in case though if anyone is around to record the show and can, please do so!

  171. CallieMae Says:

    2008Grad,

Can you record the McConnell interview w/RW?

  172. Jon Says:

2008 — What part of Texas? Just curious. : )

Yes, there is a Mormon sect being investigated for allegations of child abuse, but the leader was arrested in 2006.

To work this into some world event on par with the “great tribulation” would be ludicrous, as these things happen all the time.

But, I would not be surprised to see the Ronnites give it a shot.

  173. kurt Says:

Anyone at a computer during this interview should be able to listen to it live off that site as well.

  174. WeinlandWatch Says:

Re: The FLDS raid and rescue (and about damn time too if you ask me) of Warren Jeffs’ compound in Texas.

First of all: NOT A THUNDER. Secondly: Not relevant to the discussion.
