Hi Robert,

I started attending the WCG in 1966 when I was 8 years old and continued until 1995. I am 45 now and like you am an atheist. I started researching how the Bible was put together in 1995 when my fiancée told me that she learned in college that Matthew did not write Matthew and Mark did not write Mark and so on. One thing led to another, I read the book The Book Your Church Doesn’t Want You to Read and the site on the Internet from FRONTLINE, called From Jesus to Christ. This stuff blew my mind! I realized religion was just a continuation of paganism, it was all BS! Then I started to study evolution, I have videos from PBS and other documentaries. Well, let’s just say I proved that 1. The Bible is made up. 2. Christ never even existed. 3. religion is all crap, made up etc…

I have three brothers, one is still in the cult church, one is with Tkach Jr. and one is just plain out of it but won’t listen when I try to explain things, he buries his head in the sand.

I was baptized when I was 21. I wish I knew then what I know now! What happened I think was that my Mom died when I was eight, my Dad had been listening for a few years to HWA, then he joined after she died. We went to the feast in the Pocono’s for the first ten years then to Wisconsin, Dayton, NY and Lexington, Virginia.

I keep up with what is happening and read a lot.

I hope this was not too long.

Thank you,
Brian Lesko
