		<description>bumped across your site studying marcion. I have a question, if you could, based on your comments about the bible. I think you as an athiest would give me an honest answer.(even though i'm not athiest).
   Question is, Marcion. if we presume his early suggested "timeline"
   after being branded with heresy, well, how do we know the early
christian church wasn't a little more gnostic in nature, and not the opposite.
Jesus rose in spirit, vs in flesh, which i gather is a key reason the early church didn't like marcion. So, who came first, marcion, or the church?
How do we know the church didn't commit hersey by disputing marcion?
