I was a member of the Worldwide from 1975 to 1996, in England.
While the national culture believes in freedom, democracy and equal rights under the law for all, the ultra-Armstrongite clergy class here believed in gratuitous abuse and insult, not only in public but in private. I saw this with other people, and experienced it myself. I was a very good example, having entered Worldwide in my mid-teens. However, it made no difference to the swaggering, arrogant clergy class and their treatment of myself. I am afraid they succeed brillantly in ruining my young life. Fortunately, I can look back to my, often times really, happy childhood before Worldwide decided to teach myself their ways, and their perverted doctrines. The reason I replied to your post is for you to realize that this so called church and all its offshoots was a totalitarian,money making scam as proved by Ambassador Report on the painfultruth.org website. My personal pain at the hands of the Armstrong Clergy Class could fill a big volume! Please read the letters sent in by people that were published in Ambassador Report. Best of luck!
