How about this for a news story? -- Daily Times - A new voice for a new PakistanThursday, July 17, 2008 Sindh govt bans ‘controversial books’KARACHI: The Sindh government has banned two controversial books titled ‘The Prophesied End Time’ and ‘2008 God’s Final Witness’, both written by Ronald Weinland. An official announcement said that both books contain material that may offend the sentiments of Muslims, Jews and Christians and is likely to create resentment among different religious groups. It said that this resentment could lead to a law and order problem in the country. The government has ordered confiscation of all copies of the two books wherever they are found in the open market and has also directed authorities concerned to take necessary action against the writer, publisher, distributors, sellers and others concerned. --------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=2008%5C07%5C17%5Cstory_17-7-2008_pg7_28EDIT: Sorry, I got a bit carried away. We did say in a different thread that none of us are talking about banning books ....

I wonder why there government is so concerned. Haven't they been reading the blogs? Everything that he says has not come to pass, but Weinland did mention that God was "mocking" Satan in the time of his calamity. Remember that Satan was the original "son of perdition." Just like God passed judgment on Tkach who had done away with the Sabbath and killed him 280 days later or 40 Sabbaths to the day. According to Weinland, God was keeping Satan and the Demons in suspense, because God wanted the last laugh by placing judgment on the original "son of perdition" by starting a countdown from Christmas 2007 and counting 280 days or 40 weeks exactly and coming to the Feast of Trumpets, which according to Ron starts the 1335 day countdown in Daniel 12, which will lead to the return of Christ on Pentecost 2012. We have to also mention that this is Weinland's 2nd attempt at predicting the start of Daniel 12 and future return of Christ. I don't know if this is fantastic news...this will create a market for his books and people will wonder what their government is hiding... This could create more fear among the people, Weinland has touched a nerve!!! Persecution, prison, and death for anybody who has a copy of Weinland's work....I don't know how fantastic this could be for those people or the rest of the world. Weinland's original timeline for the sounding of the 1st trumpet has expired as of yesterday, July 16, which was day 90. This story appears on day 91, any significance, I don't know. It’s certainly not a nuclear explosion, but a "trumpet" and an announcement. Weinland will probably have a lot to talk about on Saturday.

I'm against banning books— even drek like Weinland's. In the long run, banning always works in favor of those banned, and I'm sure Weinland is counting this as a victory.

If Weinland died it would prove that he is not one of the 2 witnesses.

Ironwolf, I'm against banning books— even drek like Weinland's. In the long run, banning always works in favor of those banned, and I'm sure Weinland is counting this as a victory. Weinland probably will use this as a "confirmation" that he is indeed God's true prophet and end-time witness. I wonder what other countries will be next to "ban" his books?

I think this must mean God is not working with those people in that country. If He were, God would make sure the books would be readily available.

As I pointed out on the blog, it's doubtful that Hindus and Sikhs (which if I don't miss my guess make up the majority religious population of Karachi), are definitely not going to be reading Semi-Arian unitarian apocalyptic pseudo-christian texts in the first place. Now, if the books had been banned in one of the "British-Israelite" countries, then and only then might Weinland and his few followers have adequate confirmation bias that the world hates them. The world does not, for the most part, I repeat the world does not know who the Weinlands are. And here we are, on day 91. Oh but wait, there was a reboot so we're not in day 91. NO REBOOT WEINLAND.

But Pakistan is just the start. Next it will be Ghana, then Brunei, and possibly American Samoa. I can see it now. 1/3 of the world's trees will be used to print "December 2008, The For Really Real Final Witness This Time". Then... those books will be burned. WHAM! Prophecy fulfilled. And since I will go penniless and broke funding the work, I'll be in like Flynn. I'm talkin' ground floor, baby. I'll be second assistant to an elder, or possibly a deacon. And where will you be? All curled up in the fetal position crying like a little girl that just wet her widdle diaper, suckin' on that thumb like it was a crack pipe. That's where.

Just advising that there is now a new topic called "Ronald Weinland's Books - should they be banned?". It contains a poll on the subject.
