Now, this is my personal opinion, but Harrell, Matthews and others will most likely continue as God being only one and Jesus Christ being the elder brother, prince, and high priest of humanity/the church.  At this point, I do not see a return to God & Jesus Christ being taught as equal in the God-head.  As for the first part of the fifth thunder, it has not been fulfilled because all of those leaders are alive and kicking.  Yes, RW returned to the US on April 21st.  I do not speculate on myself being apart of the 144k because something like that depends on GOD.    in my opinion, RW will step down in late July if proven wrong, because of what he said in the sermons and e-mail that went to the select few.  I refer to what Weinland has stated in the latest sabbath sermon about the Pope.  In summary, it was stated that the Devil's influence and the Pope would not be seen by the public at first(only slightly), but the church.  If you want to know what Weinland said on a certain topic then go back and listen to the sermon or ask those on this forum who have a transcript.  I listen to the sermons just like anyone else in the church.  The leadership does believe in the two books, and they are not in it for the money.  Of course, I use leadership loosely because they believe in God & Jesus Christ are the head of the church and claim not to like religious titles.

I can say that I am not a plant of the church membership or leadership.  I can only refer to the early March sermons that say that people should not have a My space page with Ron Weinland name/information or visit any of these type of forums and the comments in at least two of the latest sermons concerning those who mock him.  I post here because I do not follow the whims of the leadership in the church whether it be one man or a group.  What I post here is the truth, but the reason I posted information of the select few e-mail because it to me raised another red flag about the validity of Weinland being one of the two witnesses.

W,

I was not asking in a sarcastic way or anything.  I was just curious how deep you were in the Church and if you know RW personally or anything.

Sometimes you can tell about people when you are in person, if they seem insane, or if they seem normal.  Or if his personality has changed over time to be what it is now.

RW was in my church area years ago, and I can tell you he was nothing like this now.

There is no point to Weinland having a "backup" plan unless, somewhere, in his mind Weinland KNOWS he is at most a fake...in the least he severely doubts himself. If this email "w" received is truly from Weinland - Weinland is in BIG trouble and he knows it. He is trying to make plans to keep his church after his house of cards falls.

Whether Weinland repents and quits preaching or not means NOTHING. In one year he will have "served" his self-imposed exile and take up the reigns once again. Hello....remember Garner Ted Armstrong..Huh? These guys are masters at illusionary techniques to those who are held in their grip. Weinland may lose some members, but, some will continue on...and on...and on...paying the tithes and getting their weekly dose of doom and gloom religion fix.

I refer to what Weinland has stated in the latest sabbath sermon about the Pope.  In summary, it was stated that the Devil's influence and the Pope would not be seen by the public at first(only slightly), but the church.

You are a baptized member of the church, correct? So then what did you see on April 17th that indicated to you, beyond all shadow of doubt, that the Devil's influence had begun on the Pope?

Please answer this question before you go offline again to phone your elder and find out what to say. Thank you.

Marie,

There are one of two possibilities: Either this is the gameplan that Weinland has had all along, or Harrell, Matthews and Wrozeck wanted more of the power (read money), and this is their way of getting it, now that people may have started freaking out since there hasn't been any visible great tribulation, satanic influence of the pope, etcetera. Given that Harrell, Matthews and Wrozeck all stand to benefit (they will be the ones in charge once the dust settles) I would say it is likely that Harrell was the author of the email, in my opinion. It could still be Weinland's doing.

Regardless of who sent the email, and which elder/evangelist is planning what, this does indicate there is something going on "behind the scenes" at the church that its members should be made aware of.

One final question for "w": If you feel there are so many red flags being raised, why do you still believe Weinland's prophecies?

"W", while I am having a hard time understanding why you have not already decided that Weinland is a false prophet, I must admit that when caught up in a situation at times I did not think perfectly rationally.  Sometimes you just have to step back and think about it for awhile.

It's encouraging that you're willing to consider the possibility of Weinland's errors.  I just hope you and your family are not further damaged by the time you realize that Weinland is not one of the Two Witnesses.

W,

Like Ekimks said,  if you wait too long you could get mentally damaged by all this.  Take it from me - just look at how synical I am about it.  And I am a nice person (I hope).

I define as liberal member in the church who continues on with a normal life and plans on having a future past 2011 and beyond.  If it is true-Amen, if not it was a life learning experience and I can help those who went to extremes by maxing out all their credit cards or something.  I keep an open mind to all points of view regarding the church of god-pkg.  If something or everything ends up being false then I will have no problem admitting it.  I have not seen the Pope change in any form or fashion since April 17th.

I am staying in pkg because I would rather be completely 100% sure, but I do see your point about being cynical toward religion or others I know in the church being emotionally damaged.  At this point, I have made a red line in the sand of early June, so I will stay put til then.  Besides if I leave and the prophecies prove not to be true I will be in a better position to help others.
